Failed 5 weeks after purchase, currently seeking a refund.
Temperature showing as being 40 degrees Centigrade and just fails to be recognised after around an hour of use.
Update 1
Chinese company offering a replacement despite my request for a refund.
Update 2
Despite being delivered very quickly, 3 days. It would seem I have to return this item to China.
Clearly this came from a EU location so why not return to there?
Return address I have been unable to verify if it is real.
I have asked for them to collect but that drew no response.
Quick deliveries based in EU should not have return addresses on the other side of the planet.
In fact it should be totally clear where the vendor operates from and verified by Amazon.

I’m literally in shock.
I have 2 Samsung 850 Pros in my PC and this little thing is ALMOST as good, keep in mind the huge price difference!
I also installed one in my PS4 Pro, the speed difference isn’t as obvious due to hardware limitations inside the PS4 but its still much faster than the 5400rpm HDD that it came with.
P.S
If you own a PS4 (not Pro) do not use an SSD as Regular PS4’s only have SATA 2 which will max out at 300MBps.
You would be better off buying an SSHD which is a HDD with an SSD sector it will increase your speeds dramatically compared to the stock PS4 drive. They’re also much cheaper than SSD’s.
Read up more about it though, you’ll see what I mean.

I bought the ASENNO 1TB SSD after seeing it on offer for ยฃ58. I thought to myself that even if it is garbage I can return it without hassle thanks to Amazon’s great customer service, plus I’m only using it for storing games on.
Gladly I’ve not yet had to put in for a refund and so far I’ve been very surprised by the performance of this unfamiliar branded SSD. The packaging is very smart and you know you’re in for a winner when there’s flames all over the box (see pics).
The drive itself is incredibly light and I was sceptical if there’s much inside it to be fair.
I plugged it in and initialised the disk. There’s 931GB usable space once formatted (NTFS).
I’ve included screenshots of the Crystal Disk Mark benchmark numbers I got from both a 1GB and 2GB file size runs (Empty Drive). I’m very impressed with the drive and would recommend to anyone looking for a Game Drive or for files that are backed up.
Currently using 421/931GB to hold some Steam and Origin games.
I’ll update after a few…

Cheap as chips and fast at the start.
Within 2 weeks it slowed down to a snails pace.
I used it to boot my MacOS off of and it felt I’d a new iMac.
Really fast.
Boot time was around 30 seconds.
Now it’s back to about 2/3 minutes.
I’m back now to using my old fusion drive.
Waste of money and I’ve ordered 2 more since.
Be very cautious with this ssd.
It’s like it wears itself out without any real pressure in no time at all.
I’ve it in a good enclosure so I can’t blame that.
Lesson learnt the hard way, thank gods it’s cheap.

Read and Write Speeds as advertised. With AHCI mode on, I got sequential R: 563 | W: 521 and random R: 82,031 | W: 71,533
My main SSD is a Samsung 850 EVO 250GB which manages R: 4,489 | W: 4,006 also with AHCI mode on, but on top of that it has TRIM Status enables and RAPID mode.
So if you need a second drive at a good price then I really recommend this ASENNO SSD, but as a primary drive I would go with one of the mainstream brands like Samsung.

I purchased 2 of these as an upgrade to the spinning hard disks of my Win10 PCs. Initially both worked really well, and one continues to function normally. Whilst I didn’t do any speed testing, there is a noticeable improvement in system boot time and responsiveness to that of a HDD system. However, one of the two drives quickly developed a fault and using the computer became a problem – the system would hang for long periods of time. Eventually the system refused to boot and I diagnosed the disk as the problem by running some BIOS tests, and by refitting the original HDD. I installed a new SSD, and attached the failed drive via a USB SATA enclosure and ran some Windows tools which confirmed the drive contained many errors that not even CHKDSK /F could resolve.
No real harm done at this point, apart from the inconvenience, so I tried to arrange a return, but unfortunately the customer service of this marketplace seller is somewhat lacking. Firstly they want me to return the item to…

Excellent build quality, design (logo) and pretty fast for a budget ssd. ยฃ40 inc delivery for a 480gb drive is an absolute bargain!
Buying a 1Tb soon.
See photo – CrystalMarkv6 ran same tests on Asenno vs Samsung Evo

One of the cheapest on the market and still performing as good as high branded ones. Absolute bargain with 3 years warranty. I have used Crystal Disk to check performance and it is matching close to the advertised one.
