Like my purchase so far though the Asus registration was quite frustrating. Only 4 stars because my laptop does not have the number keypad facility that they mention twice in the details on Amazon. I donโt know if this means mine is an older model but if that feature is something you were banking on – be aware.

Big step up from my old device performance wise, and it’s got a nice look about it. Good size too, which is important for me as I have to carry it with me every day. Battery life is great. It’s not a machine specced for intensive gaming, but that’s not what I bought it for, and it runs Civ 6 grand.

If your a university student, please buy this laptop, its 14″ and quite light and portable, as the name suggests, vivo book, you can carry in bag. It has a ryzen 7 4700u, which is so powerful, as you can see above it pulled 300+ fps on minecraft’s max graphic settings. Amd has the best igpus. It has 512gb ssd and its so fast you can get a lot of work done. I love this! It came the next day as well!

It looks smart and it is reasonable fast, but , there is a big but, when it is on my lap, the alphabets on the keys blends into the silver keys, cannot see what I am typing. Not good !!!! When is light is dim enough the back lit keyboard shows up very well. Otherwise I like this laptop.

There are multiple variants on Amazon, using this same page/reviews. For the record, mine is the 5700U/16Gb/512 SSD version.
I’ve had this laptop approx 2 or 3 weeks, and I am absolutely delighted with it. I haven’t found another laptop/PC with anywhere near this spec (8 cores, 16 threads, 16Gb RAM, 512Mb SSD) for the same money. I think it’s amazing value for money.
I’ve bought/owned/used about 6 different laptops in the past 4-or-so years (family laptops, and work ones) so I reckon I have a reasonable idea of what is good/bad about Windows laptops. Here’s a basic summary of this laptop:
– Screen is very good. Nice and clear, and good viewing angles
– Speakers are good enough for my needs. I’ve heard better speakers, but (IMHO) these are pretty good
– Keyboard LOOKS good. Nice silver colour, looks very posh. Makes the entire laptop look great.
— However, reading the actual keys is a bit tricky. I have to angle my head sometimes to read the keys (to see what I’m pressing)
