Bought this to replace an old 12v black+decker as the battery no longer held a charge this new unit is slightly smaller and lighter making it more comfortable to use. Having just redone the kitchen it was put through its paces from mixing tile adhesive with a paddle mixer to building ktchen units even drilling into concrete (area was tight so regular drill to cumbersome)
and not once did the battery run out on me unlike the older ni cad even when that was new so very impressed just wish I’d bought one sooner

if i was still doing more
outside stuff, concrete, steel, fencing etc would
really need more heavy duty.

This is a quite fantastic when used as a screwdriver. It’s one of the best electric tools I have. It is also light and well balanced. There is a handy slot to place the Driver Bit when not being used preventing it being misplaced. The led light shines from the top of battery container up to the chuck and is extremely useful for those dark corners. This driver enabled two of us to assemble an 8ft by 4ft shed in under 4 hours and it still had battery charge left afterwards. Great that if I want to buy other Black+Decker cordless products the batteries can be interchangeable too.

Needed a basic drill driver for a few odd jobs around the house and also making coils for my vape. As I didn’t have one and didn’t want to spend hundreds on a high end one, I bought one from Aldi that was approximately the same price as this one. It turned out to be horrible with a major design flaw. The chuck unscrewed itself while using a ripped a hole in my wall! so took it back, got my money back and bought this one from amazon!
I’ve had it a few months now and it’s a pleasure to use. makes short work of jobs requiring a few screws, has enough power to last through more intensive drilling jobs and seems pretty darn reliable! Need i say more?
EDIT: I would like to add that this drill driver has taken a beating and stands up to tasks beyond what I would have originally expected of it!!

I am an avid DIYer in my 70’s This peice of kit is fantastic, I recently built four replacement garden fence panels using a considerable number of screws, also an oil drum incinerator needing a good number of driled bolt holes, a computer desk, and a number of other chores, I could not have managed without this machine especially with a bit of arthritis setting in. When I first started to play with it I virtually burried a 4″ screw in a peice of deal and thought it was a soft peice of wood, I tested it by trying to unscrew it with a conventional screw driver and I could not budge it, with the Black and Decker it came out again with ease, Can’t praise it enough, and its paid for itself over and over again. a must-have, well done. Hi guys ๐ this turned out to be a very good cordless drill. Shall wait nd see how long the battery lasts though as the other one I had (not black and decker) failed after a few months (wasnโt sure if it was infact the drill itself or the battery charger but a new one came in at the same price as original drill)..I do an awful lot of DIY and since I am making potting tables and cold frames etc it has been ideal. Not too heavy and very easy to use and charges in no time. It also has a drill head fitted which has the normal head on one side and the star on the opposite…so far, I would highly recommend it….oh, forgot to say, my hubby has also been impressed ๐ Hope this helps….๐

Count yourself lucky that this is currently out of stock. I’ve had this drill for just over 12 months. Used it around the house. It was great! No heavy work. Then the chuck jammed the other day when I was drilling into a soft piece of wood…. I’d understand if I’d had it for 5 years and put it through some heavy work, however, it’s literally been used to put ikea furniture together and the odd shelf. I’d give it no stars if I could.
Amazon won’t even let me return it as it only had 1 month returns policy…. save yourself the hassle and don’t buy this drill.

This does not have the power of a proper commercial drill but has plenty for around the house and garden shed. Itโs lightweight and well weighted and smaller than youโd imagine looking at the photos. Worth the beans and useful to have around if youโre not used to having a drill to hand.
Update 1 month later: Iโve not used this much yet the chuck no longer rotates in a perfect circle. Itโs like a buckled wheel which makes drilling virtually impossible. I wouldnโt recommend this product based on the limited experience Iโve had with it.
