I like everything about this printer. Really I’m in dreamland right now. what a bargain of a printer it was, I really did not expect to be this good for a £60 printer. What O like the most is the fact you can print or scan from yourself cellphones as well. Really easy to install and use. I was ready to spend up to £100 on a printer, but I did not know what to go for until I saw this canon. It’s Everything I was looking for on a printer. It’s not the fastest but boy I couldn’t be any happier.

Not too keen on the two ports for paper, having had it’s predecessor, as it takes up more room, especially the rear port lying at an angle. Mind you, I think I am just being a wee bit pernickety. Otherwise all tickety-boo.

I got this printer for very sporadic home use — mainly to print booking confirmations (and the like) that are only accepted as print-outs.
After fumbling around with setting up the trays and the app for about 20 minutes, it was good to go.
Whenever I need to print something, I just take it out of its drawer, plug it in and send it the document from my iPhone. It connects quickly and it’s all been smooth sailing so far.
I understand it’s not the best or most efficient piece of kit for high-volume printing needs, but so far it works perfectly for me.

All aspects of printer are fine, delivery was excellent, set up easy and quick using supplied cd and information.
Only problem was device was supplied with European plug, not UK 3 pin. Why???

The printer woks fine, but was a problem to set up on my IMac. I prefer to use a cable, which should be really straightforward, but kept getting the ‘printer not connected’ message. It worked ok immediately after reinstalling , but as soon as it was switched off, the meassage reappeared. Eventually, I resorted to a wireless connection which is fine so far. I really like the double-sided printing default for documents. Slightly disappointed that I have to use canon inks rather than the cheaper versions – also a pain that all colours have to be replaced as soon as one if finished.

I already have one of these bought from elsewhere so knew what the printing was like it’s a great printer for home. However when I bought this from here it arrived with an American power lead! As I needed it that day for work I had to take one of a currently unused printer, but I am going to have to purchase a new lead very shortly as the other printer will be used again!!! NOT HAPPY! I can’t find anywhere to message the seller so have had to put this here.

All I wanted this piece of kit to do was print, copy or scan but the machine is far more ambitious. So too, presumably, are the anoraks who designed it. Instructions are written in Martian and the tech support is obliging but inadequate. Despite three phone calls and a final 50 minute telephone conversation I am still unable to work the scanner. THe screen consistently tells me there is no paper in the tray when it is stuffed to the limit. I am sure the machine could put men on the moon but that is not what the average (if technologically challenged) punter requires.

Pleased to receive my Pixima TS 5150 yesterday, with promised next day delivery on Prime.
This replaced my last Canon Pixima which failed after 15 years of faithful service. Immediately noticed quality of new machine poor compared with old model. But it did come with English plug! As previously mentioned in a review, this model tries to be too clever by being all-in. Noticeably cheaper than last model but ink cost more than twice as much. Suggest getting compatible cartridges, which are £12 cheaper with 150% more ink. Take care with download. The easiest option is still USB connection, but you have to buy lead, unless like me you had the old lead from previous model. Do you really need to Smartphone a connection? I only wish to print from PC, even though owning Smartphone and tablet. In my case any wireless connection is difficult because I ethernet my PC to hub, and then use mesh wirelessly to move signal downstairs to lounge to another mesh node to ethernet my smart tv. So horses…
