Hi, does anyone know how to use the buttons on the pen? I tried everything but it is not working.

I lost the pen tip while moving to another house and I contacted Chuwi support. I was surprised to know that they do not sell replacement tips and I’d have to buy a whole new pen. That’s just impractical and unreasonable.

This Chuwi Hipad X android tablet is a mixed experience in which overall I would say will meet most people’s needs but it’s definitely not perfect.

The performance is great and I cannot complain about the software side of things as it handles multiple tasks with ease and has handled any app or game I have tried on it with no problems what so ever.

Another positive is the battery life which has surprised me. Yes it can take a bit of time to fully charge but in doing so I have managed to achieve well between 10-15 hours of mixed usage which I find to be far better than expected.

Like I say the tablet itself performs great, it’s just the hardware that let’s it down in certain areas for example the single mono speaker, the attachable keyboard/case isn’t the most user friendly and one thing that annoyed me was the fact that as far as I could tell this was advertised as having Bluetooth 5.0 but after checking the on-board specs with an app it apparently has Bluetooth 4.2, which may not be a…

Excellent battery life. The back face of the tablet is magnetic and can also stick to paramagnetic surfaces. Sometimes audio playsback via both wired earphone as well as the inbuilt speaker simultaneously. Stand needs a flat surface to properly prop up the tablet. Very bright screen. Quite bright even with minimum brightness setting. Google certified device. No lag. Excellent performance.

So I was in the market for an Android tablet with a keyboard that could be used 90% for media consumption on the go, and 10% occasional computing device (even if I used it as a dumb terminal to a remote Windows desktop).

It ticks all my boxes. As an Android tab for predominently media consumption, it’s smooth and fast and I was pleasantly surprised by the keyboard. It’s probably a nicer keyboard than on my top of the line Lenovo laptop! Had been a bit worried that the cheapy Mediatek CPU wouldn’t cut it but no issues on that front. Not sure whether it would cut it for games but that wasn’t my use case. The Android versions of important apps e.g. MS Office have also come a long way since I last looked at them, and are perfectly acceptable for occasional use.

Why not five stars? Well, there are a few niggles:

    * The screen seems to have only two brightness levels: quite bright and Wembley Stadium floodlights. The brightness slider has absolutely no effect from 0% to about 40%. On other…
