I have been looking for a new printer/scanner for quite some time. I’ve always liked Epson. This printer was easy to set up and link with various devices. I doubted the wire-less aspect but it’s really good and works from any room. The instructions are clear. The print quality is first class. You can tell I’m impressed.
Although this machine is twice the price of the average printer it is value for money although I won’t be using the fax facility. My use is domestic not office and I don’t print much. Excellent.

What a mess. Must download lots of software from either or both (it’s not clear) of two different websites: epson.co.uk and epson.sn, with very different layouts. Despite doing this multiple times, scanner doesn’t connect –a series of error messages on both printer and computer. It’s clear from websites this is a known problem. Epson seems to be another of those companies that doesn’t design instructions for ordinary humans.

After setting up the brand new printer, Workforce WF 4820, I could not use it even once because it was faulty. Epson sent me another printer through a company called EQUINOX MAINTENANCE LTD. but the printer sent was refurbished, not brand new! I can not even register the product online for the ReadyInk site because it won’t recognise the serial number. You can spend months sending emails back and forward without any solution. Definitely I won’t buy any Epson product again.

I was very disappointed with the print quality, black were not black at all but dark grey and all of the colours were washed out, its like comparing a water colour painting with and oil painting. I tried double checking cartridge’s, I should them vigorously, tried cleaning print heads but with no improvement as a result I sent the printer back and received a refund.

This is a capable printer towards the top end of prices coming in at around ยฃ180. However, before you buy, make sure you do what I failed to do and that is check the cost of ink for this printer. I bought this item in May 21 and already the black ink is nearly exhausted having delivered nowhere near the quoted 1,000 copies, probably only 300 single sheets which were mostly black only. The Epson 405XL ink pack sells for around ยฃ100, yes that’s right a hundred pounds for a few grams of ink – unbelievable! The cheapest after market set of compatible inks is around ยฃ65 which I have just had to purchase. Black ink alone is, apparently, not available unless you buy the Epson product where black ink cartridge only is ยฃ48 approx.. I don’t understand the logic of this marketing. In all probability I will just have to scrap this printer when the new set of ink runs out as, ridiculously, it will be cheaper for me to buy a new printer of a different make with more reasonable ink prices than…

ONCE REGISTERED WITH EPSON CONNECT – THE SUPPORT AND UPDATES ARE 2ND TO NONE, VERY IMPRESSED WITH THIS ITEM AND WOULD MOST DEFIANTLY ORDER ANOTHER EPSON PRODUCT IN THE FUTURE. DISPLAY FUNCTION EASY TO USE AND VERY INFORMATIVE HOWEVER, THE INK CARTRIDGES APPEAR SO FAR NOT SO EASILY ACCESSABLE TO PURCHASE AND ONES I`VE SEEN ARE COSTLY AGAINST OTHER MODELS- BUT OTHERWISE VERY HAPPY WITH THIS PRODUCT AND ALL ITS FUNCTIONS- I DONT REGRET PURCHASING THIS.

I bought this Epson printer to replace my trusty 5 year old model thinking and hoping it would be a very easy install. How wrong could I have been. Multiple phone calls and emails to epson support, quite often asking me the same questions over again and expecting a different answer showed that the printer is very limited on its WiFi set up. You have to have a very specific configuration for it to work, I managed to get it to connect to my WiFi but never to print from my laptop. My advice, find a better printer of you want to do use WiFi connectivity

I searched amazon and the internet for hours for a printer for home use for my business. Large quantities of printing and not knowing anything about printers and setting them up. It was so easy to set up, if I can do it anyone can do it! I never write reviews but honestly I was so impressed with the efficiency of the printer and how quick and easy the set up was to my laptop and my work remote access (easier than setting up the printer at work with a tech team helping!). Highley recommended.
