I’ve used Frontline in conjunction with Drontal XL for a hunting cat and have had no problem at all, with fleas or worms. Excellent product, but I would recommend that anyone using Frontline makes sure that they read the instructions carefully and apply Frontline to the cat’s skin not just apply it onto the animal’s fur.

Unfortunately these no longer seem to be very effective, but they are not alone. Even Stronghold that can only be bought from a vet seem to have lost there ability to kill fleas. I think all manufacturers of flea treatments need to go back to the lab! Or, as Fox News might say, maybe my house has been infiltrated by Russian Fleas pumped with steroids.

This unfortunately did not work for us. We used it for 3 months in combination with room sprays etc and could not get control over the infestation. Our two cats were constantly riddled. We eventually took the cats to the vets and he explained that although it’s not been announced, the fleas are becoming resistant to this particular insecticide and they have noticed that it doesn’t appear to be working as effectively. On advice we bought Prevecto, the fleas were totally gone in less than 48 hours! It’s lasts for 3 months and actually works out cheaper in the long run!
I’m not superstitious, but I am a little stitious –
Just a quick one… I put this on my cat as directed behind the head on Saturday… Today is the following Friday and i found a tick in the exact place where i applied frontline.
It may be good for fleas but doesnt seem to prevent ticks. (This is the first one he has had all year though and i have been using frontline all year) maybe it is just bad luck who knows.
I will still use frontline but i will also use an anti flea / tick pill mixed up in his food once every couple of weeks.

I have never left a review before but I’m so annoyed with this product I wanted to warn other pet owners. Despite two applications, this hasn’t worked at all and the problem has got worse. My poor cat is having to go to the vets and I’ve risked infestation in my house. I’d suggest going straight to your vet – they prescribed a different Frontline product before which worked well but this product is utterly rubbish.

I have 3 cats all of which I’ve previously treated with flea treatments from my vet.
On reading reviews I thought I’d give frontline a try and regret it completely!
A day or two after application all 3 of my cats have nasty burns/sores.
Please if you love your pets purchase treatments from your vet

We have a cat and a dog so purchased one for each after discovering fleas on both pets. We also treated our home/sofas/pet beds, used flea bombs and set up traps to catch newly hatched fleas accordingly to prevent any further issues. We’ve also confined our pets to one room to allow these traps to work. The cat is an indoor cat and the dog is the only one that uses the garden/mixes with other dogs, therefore we believe the dog has caught the fleas to begin with. However over a week in we’ve not found any on our dog, but after flea combing our cat twice daily we’re finding fleas who have had a blood meal and therefore are continually laying more eggs, frontline is meant to prevent the flea getting to this stage. When the cat’s due her next treatment she’ll be getting something from the vets and I won’t be bothering with frontline again.

I’ll keep this short and sweet for the moment. This product left a chemical burn on my beautiful bengal cat, it’s dangerous. I can’t believe how reckless and irresponsible this company can be. I demand a response otherwise I’ll do everything I can to expose this company for it’s disgusting products. If you’re thinking of purchasing this product …. just don’t, buy an alternative please.
