As much as we would all like brand new, sometimes you have to change your view and look at refurbished equipment. Having previously bought my granddaughter a very good quality refurbished laptop following her very good GCSE results, my wife took the plunge and went for refurbished as well. No issues at all, looked brand new and no marks whatsoever, so obviously well looked after by someone. Very happy and pleased is she.

Wow, I’m wirting my review on this Laptop and I cannot praise it enough, bought it for work to replace an old HP and this is an eye opener, finger print reader, touch screen is amazing, processor works so fast, took a while to get used to it after using my dinosaur laptop for so long. Great price for a hefty little machine, much better than the Mac Book and Lenovo which my kids have

Previous to purchasing this laptop my old laptop was core i7 with 16gb memory and ssd hard drive but I can honestly say this hp pavilion ryzen 5 is much much faster with boot/startup time virtually instantly and very fast all round performance …all my Previous software has installed in Windows 11 without any problems or conflicts so compatibility is good …I can highly recommend this laptop and I am very happy with my purchase

Sorry, I was hoping to write something positive but the item page for this Laptop clearly states it will come with a 512GB SSD and it doesn’t its 256GB. It’s probably very good but it’s not what I ordered.
Customer services are next to useless with this issue and said they will order me a replacement or issue a partial refund, but could I just check and make sure it was wrong first. I checked called back and was told no, only a full refund or replacement was available.
This would be fine but for the fact that the 1st one I ordered seemed to not exist, the second was damaged before it even got in the delivery van and the third (this one) has the wrong size hard drive.
Not sure if I will be ordering a laptop or major purchase from AMAZON again any time soon.

Once you have fought with the bloatware (and, honestly, if you have the time and patience I’d recommend registering the copy of Windows 10 under your MS account, then scrubbing the thing and installing a fresh, clean copy because honestly… the bloat and the fact that it often re-appears when deleted is….ARGH!) and scrubbed as much as you can off it, this is a superb machine. It is crippled with bloat that is often poorly coded and a nightmare to remove. The coding of this stuff is so bad that one bit of bloat, that was sat waiting for me to fill in some text boxes, had the CPU being hammered and the fans spinning at full pelt. I don’t know how much effort you have to put into doing things this badly, but it’s spectacular.
Finding a laptop with a touchscreen without spending either a fortune or buying a cheapo chromebook / ex-lease refurb is very difficult. To find one with, not only a decent Ryzen APU, but also with the option for proper dual channel memory in the midrange price…

Nothing wrong with the product itself (I hope) but even though you would think it was new…I discovered that I only have 9 months left on the warranty…turns out it had been serviced.
Surely it should have been marked as refurbished…not new.
Amazon DID deduct £50 from the price after I complained (a CS rep, Aj, was particularly sarcastic though) but still…they may say it has a two year warranty but try convincing HP when the warranty runs out early.
UPDATE 1:
Contacted HP and they said they wouldn’t have honoured the full 12 months, only the 9 months warranty.
Luckily, because I showed Proof of Purchase, the added the extra 3 months to the warranty.
So you were wrong Aj!!!
And I still feel, now, despite the £50 reduction, that I have overpaid…so…BEWARE!

I had to send it back. Make of that what you will.

The laptop is light to handle, screen large enough for my purposes. The only problem encountered is the colour of the keys and letters, which if the light is coming from a certain direction means they are hard to see. The Laptop itself is easy to use.
Very pleased with the purchase.
