I tried using different paper, but my pictures are always printing too dark and with a yellow tint, sometimes the paper seems to get stuck when it starts printing, very often there are lines on the picture, printing pictures with people looks awful.
The program is easy to use, but it would be nice to have the option to calibrate the colours in the program.

I tried printing a number of different pictures with different lighting, different contrast and objects and the quality of every single one was absolutely terrible. Everything is pretty blurry, the colours are incorrect (I just printed a group selfie and we were all literally grey) and everything looks incredible cheap. This looks like when you tried to print out an HD photo from your 20 year-old school printer on regular paper. A real shame as I was looking forward to this a lot, will be returning mine.

Liked it at first, then after the first packet of paper it went downhill. The pictures now come out with lines down them, and colours are all wrong and quality poor. Donโt waste your money, buy something else.

I am very disappointed. The quality of the photos is very low. Whatever you do they come yellowish, even if you try black and white option. The software is relatively easy to use. Waste of money, especially that, enthusiastically, I bought extra paper, a case and photo albums. I was expecting best quality from a reputable company as Kodak, so all packaging went to bin as soon as the items were delivered. Therefore I could not send all back. Bad experience.

This is a cute printer, and although as others have mentioned the images are too “warm”, they look very like the Polaroid photos of the 80’s and I quite liked the look of them. Takes about a minute to print an image, but the results are great with a good novelty factor.
However, the Kodak app is clunky and buggy and annoyingly the printer wouldn’t accept Polaroid 2×3 ZINC photo paper. Seems to only like it’s own brand, which is irritating. The work-around solution was to use the blue calibration sheet from the Kodak ZINC paper with the Polaroid ZINC paper and that make the printer accept the obviously compatible Polaroid ZINC paper, but really, should you have to do this?

If you are looking for photos that look like they were printed in the 1970โs in terms of both colour and quality, then look no further. This printer will give you yellowing prints lacking in clarity or any resemblance of the colours on your screen. We have sent it back as it was truly awful!
The photo shows the same image printed by the Step and then by the Canon Zoemini, which we bought off Amazon after returning the Step. It cost an extra ยฃ40 but the prints are less expensive going forward and the quality is very good!
