Bought this on behalf of my wife. She had a larger laptop that was too bulky for her to have on her lap, and an iPad that wasn’t really up to what she needed from a device. She doesn’t use much in the way of office or creativity apps, most of her usage is online so we figured that a Chromebook would be the way to go. She’s over the moon with it, size is just right, usability is spot on, the specification is good and the price is very good. I’m considering getting one for myself now.

Bought for my 11 year old daughter and she loves it. Great for doing school work, video conferencing and playing android games. Really good battery life too. Nice to be able to convert into a tablet for playing 2 player touch screen games.

This is a brilliant bit of kit. ChromeOS itself is moving closer and closer to Android so plenty of Android apps. will run on this – very handy when you fold the keyboard back and use it in tablet mode.
Over the summer I sat out in the garden with this as my main device for work. Despite being a long way from the WiFi access point it held on to the signal and allowed me to write and video-conference for 6-7 hour without needing to be charged. It’s lightweight, feels quite sturdy (aluminium case) and is a brilliant machine unless you’re a real power-user who needs to do high-speed numerical work.
Installing the optional Linux beta allows more apps. to run, including LibreOffice, so you can work offline and the operating system supports most filesystems well, including NTFS, so the limited internal storage can be complemented by removable storage on SD-card or USB devices easily.

Chromebooks used to be incredibly simple and to some, laughable. I’ve always appreciated them, though, as most people can carry out most computing tasks via web apps. Add Android apps and most users can get most tasks done with ease. After a long time using a Linux machine, I’m now back with Chrome OS, as Linux support means I can run Darktable. For those unaware, it’s a great free alternative to Adobe’s Lightroom.
So, what of this Chromebook? Coming back to Chromebooks after 5 years, the storage now included at this price point is impressive. 64 gigs is easily enough to import my RAW photo files from a trip away. USB-C charging is great and it’s a good weight. As it’s a Chromebook, battery life is excellent.
Pricing is important and this Lenovo unit is great value. Especially when taking into account for how long a given Chromebook receives updates. This model is covered until June 2026, I believe.
All in all this a great Chromebook. There are machines available with better hardware,…

I thought this Lenova chromebook was great value for the cost, however I had to reluctantly return it as I couldn’t use google play store apps that I added, like a black keyboard.Strange as my previous apps installed but adding new one’s wouldn’t work,I tried ringing technical support but they didn’t ring back so I returned and ordered a different chromebook.

bought this for my elderly Mother who wanted a bigger screen but not a laptop. We looked at several but came back to this one. A bigger screen than her tablet had, this one is 11.6, the screen is super quality and it is a touchscreen. A nice feel to the keyboard. No bother to set up as she already had a Google account. Great that she can fold it back completely to use the keyboard as a stand. Super-thin and easily portable. Fabulous value for money compared with others on the market.

Really pleased with this so far. Wanted for basic browsing and apps for our toddler’s maths and English development, and it seems to fit the bill.
I’m used to a 14 inch screen and have found no problem adjusting to the smaller screen.
It’s really light, very speedy and easy to use, so so far it’s 5 stars from me.

I’ve had Lenovo products before, and always appreciated their quality. This, however, was a great disappointment.
Screen: (1) not overly responsive; had to be more assertive; (2) poor quality. Notwithstanding it is advertised with a humble 1366×768 display, I still expected rather more from Lenovo. Even my decades old Samsung S10-5″ tablet is streets better (even at 2650×1600); (3) when disconnecting charger, screen dims a little more, there is also a slight flicker; returns to previous albeit weak display when charger reconnected.
Charge: it comes with the old-fashioned heavy duty cable and bulky adapter. My other mobile devises have the lightweight USB charger cable.
Printer: whilst it showed my printer type etc (Canon MX720 series), it stated it does not set up automatically, and that I need to do this myself. In the huge list of Canon machines, mine wasn’t listed. Not an issue with other platforms I’ve tested.
I’m sure this is a perfectly adequate laptop for students away from home…
