I own a number of Makita tools all quality products that do a professional job this Combi drill is also a quality tool and register it to get 3 yes 3 year warranty.
Value for money easy to install drill bits plenty of power with a soft start and two speed select you really canโt ask for more ๐

This item is flimsy and not useable for the job I do, I contacted seller 3 times and received no reply so filed a claim with Amazon and they advised to return item but I would have to pay postage and insure it, then AHC contacted me to inform me to return item but they would not issue a return label, absolutely disgraceful behaviour and I will forward AHC response to Amazon.

had the previous one for several years, managed to burn it out drilling a 110mm whole through a house! for tumble drier vent. brick and block. did the job, I let it get too hot.
So, has been brilliant, owes me nothing, so to find that I could get a new body (I wish!) for so little money, a no brainer.
there is the little matter that I had bought 2 high output batteries for this and my other LXT tool. Considering buying another one.

I have owned one of these already I think for at least 12 years. It’s built at least ten sheds, built untold yards of fencing, laid dozens of square yards of decking, hung a thousand pictures stirred paint and plaster and done a million other jobs. It’s been dropped, kicked, bashed, used as a hammer and treated abysmally at times it was so indestructible. I finally killed it this week when the motor burned out drilling Ancaster stone. I immediately looked for a replacement and would certainly have paid ยฃ100 plus to replace it. Imagine my surprise and delight in finding this at ยฃ40, I couldn’t believe it. It’s exactly the same drill after all these years, I thought they might have stopped making it. Finally after buying it I found a genuine Makita replacement motor for ยฃ15 brand new so I’ve sent for that and will repair and clean my old one too, don’t know why but I feel it deserves a healthy retirement sitting in my shed. Makita tools are in my view peerless products, I have a good…

What can I say it’s Makita! Can’t go wrong.
The reason I left one star for ‘battery’ is because I never bought a battery with it.
Have used it constantly for months, no issues. Not as light as some, but it’s not heavy and it is very sturdy. I am always dropping it or knocking it over. Still no issues!
Def recommend.

Excellent drill and I already had the twin LI-ION batteries for my Makita 18v. Sad that you can buy a really good drill cheaper than I can buy a new battery charger for my Black and Decker Firestorm which is now obsolete despite working perfectly!
This is a very good buy and fits a gap between my SDS drill and my power screwdrivers

I bought this as a replacement for one that I thought I’d broken. If it was a car then it would’ve been around the clock a few times and owed me nothing anyway. Turns out I’d just knocked the gear selector on the top into no-mans-land and impulse bought a replacement because it was so cheap for what it is.
This is the best work horse on the market. Bar none. You can spend more money if you want but trust me, I’ve used plenty of these from different brands asks others from Makita and this one is the best for value and performance.
The hammer function is a bit of a tall claim, but it kinda works if you really need it. I guess if the hammer function is important to you then this might not be the one for you. For everything else it is. Even with a 1.5Ah battery it goes on and on. The chuck is fantastic. The weight and balance is really good. It’s ultra reliable and I can testify that it’s robust enough to survive a 10 foot drop onto a concrete floor with nothing other than a bit of…

Item was good value arrived on time..drill works well..bought it as a replacement for a faulty drill same model….actually works better than the original…clearly manufacturer must have made improvements in last 8 years.
