The laptop is light, portable and lovely to type on. Processor is fast and have not (yet) found any delays incurred. Some small niggles, the screen is quite reflective which catches the sun at certain points during the day, also the webcam is not really up to the standard I would expect.

Background: I just bought a maxed-out Laptop 4, i7, 32 GB RAM, 1 TB disk. I may or may not need it but my (own) company pays and since nothing is upgradeable it may be worth it in the long run (if you’re billing by the day/hour the cost of moving from one setup to another is close to the actual hardware cost…). This is my 3rd Surface product, after a beloved Surface Pro 4 (i7, 16? GB mem, 512 GB) that met its maker on the ground, and a Surface Pro 6 (i5, 8GB, 128 GB + SD card, fanless). Before that, a Dell (cannot remember the exact reference but similar form factor, decent autonomy and good performance, loved it too). Never used a Mac regularly.
All of the below may be redundant with press articles.
First impressions:
– Screen is great. That was my first buying driver. When working on the go (think excel) it is a lot more comfortable that a 13”. I had started using my ipad as a second screen but it never felt natural/smooth. Here, bigger is better. Definition is more than…

My Lenovo Yoga was becoming slower & slower & it had to be replaced. As my wife is happy with her Surface Laptop 2 I decided to upgrade to the newer model & I’m glad that I did!
I bought directly from Microsoft using my military discount & it arrived 2 days later. The blue casing & fabric covered keyboard look & feel fantastic. Setting it up was the usual straightforward Windows experience & all my photos & files were soon transferred from my Lenovo.
The Surface then spent about 45 minutes, downloading & installing updates, this went without a hitch. Now I was able to start using it!
I was on line within 15 seconds of switching on. The facial recognition access works extremely well & quickly. The screen & sound quality are both perfect. The keyboard is lovely to use, with a precise feedback from the keys.
I’ve been using it for the past 10 days & enjoy it more each time I switch it on.
Go on, spoil yourself, you won’t regret it & with the new, Windows 11 just around the corner, Apple…
