I had a bargain with these at ยฃ18 a box, much cheaper than any store I have seen.

I clean my dogs teeth every night and he gets one of these as an assistant treat so that he puts up with me shoving a brush in his mouth. I wouldn’t trust to these for the only source of teeth cleaning. Mostly, because they are soft and gone with just a few bites – this is hardly likely to do much to remove tartar. I can’t see how this can “remove up to 80% tartar” – I’d like to know where they came up with that figure!

My vet (specialist in dog dentistry) has been happy with my regime and dogs teeth. He did warn that these are fattening, but wasn’t worried as the dog is exercised daily. I did have some low fat ones, but these are not marked as such.

Well, I’m not a dog,so I didnt try one myself, however I did have a long conversation with the dog,and she said she thoroughly enjoyed them. But she did add, they did make her fart more( we noticed that too!!!)

So I’ve asked my dog and she says: woof woof woof, woof wooooof. I’ve no idea…Anyway, she gets one each evening before she and my daughter are off to sleep. She learnt to read the clock and if bedtime comes later than usual, she’ll be showing me her disapproval in very obvious ways. So I make my way to the pantry and she’s fast on my heels, stands in the doorway all alert. I take one stick out of the bag and she goes totally nuts. Does little circles on the spot, zoomies, play paws and just anything, she’ll do anything for you at that moment. Speak English, write a poem, read a book, clean the bathroom – you name it. Then when the time and place are right, she jumps up and stands on her back legs like a circus dog. Then she gets her treat and first holds it in her mouth for a bit and then starts biting little bits off, like she wants to prolong the pleasure. On the days when we egg her on in her excitement, she does little whimpers of joy while chewing.
    So. Dunno what woof woof…

Donโ€™t know what theyโ€™re like yet as bought them for my new puppy but it says theyโ€™re for puppies 4 to 12 months and not suitable for puppies under 5kg or under 4 months. So he canโ€™t have them yet. Info that should be included in the product description.

My 2 terriers have one each morning. Its reassuring to know they are cleaning their teeth while having this as a treat.
One of my dogs is 11 years old and he has always had a Dentastix every morning. Ive never had to have his teeth descaled and touch wood, he has never had any dental issues. At a recent routine visit to the vet for a full check up, the vet commented on how clean and healthy my dogs teeth were. My dog eats mainly dry food and has fresh water to drink. He has other treats now and then but no other chews or bones. So could Dentastix be the reason my dog has had no dental issues during his life?
My younger terrier also has a daily Dentastix and her diet is identical to the old boys. She was a 3 year old rescue when she joined our family, so her teeth are young. However they were quite scaled at the time and now she is 4ยฝ years old the scale doesnt seem to be getting any worse, if anything the scale seems to be receding.
    I swear by Dentastix.

These Pedigree DentaStix offer a great value treat and oral care solution for dogs, and are perfect for a treat after going for a walk. The texture is just hard enough to offer a nice crunch, but also soft enough so the dog’s teeth sink in with every bite, so they should please even fussy pooches!

They are genuine Pedigree DentaStix, with an expiry date of typically 12+ months (bought multiple boxes and all have good expiry dates). They hand no added sugar, are free from artificial flavourings and colours, and are low in fat, so your dog can enjoy without you worrying about them piling on the pounds.

    There is 112 DentaStix in total, made up of 4 boxes, each containing 4 bags, each containing 7 DentaStix;

    Contents:
    ยท 4 boxes
    ยท 16 bags
    ยท 112 Dentastix

    Ingredients:
Cereals, Derivatives of Vegetable Origin, Meat and Animal Derivatives, Minerals (including 2.4% Sodium Tripolyphosphate), Oils and Fats

Nothing to say about these really, the big boxes are great value, and lets face it, no dog on the planet will ever turn one of these down surely? My dog knows when it’s a supermarket version of this snack, he loves them. Buy the large and snap in half too, better value than the small dog version ๐Ÿ˜‰

My pup learned in lightening speed that “time for bed!” means; get onto the stairs, push your snout through the bannisters, wait for the delivery of the dentastix then race me upstairs to her blanket. Nothing is more motivating. I am sorry the ingredients are not really very good for her, but in small doses the teeth cleaning aspect, (very highly rated) and her love of the smell and flavour of these more than compensates. She makes the puppy stix last 10 mins despite her enthusiasm.
