I must say this laptop has exceeded my expectations, the build quality is great and the USB C charging is fantastic.
The keyboard has a number pad which comes in handy when dealing with numbers.
It feels like a macbook pro but at a fraction of the price and the ability to have windows 10.

This laptop looks and feels much more expensive than it is. We were looking for a £500-£700 laptop for the kids and found most of them on the market looked and felt cheap. The Samsung stood out immediately with it’s brushed metal case.
UPDATE, AFTER 1 MONTHS OF USE WE HAVEN’T EXPERIENCED ANY OF THE KEYBOARD ISSUES THE OTHER REVIEWER MENTIONS. Ours also came with a 3 year warranty from a John Lewis.

Good mix of legacy and new ports – Old USB, Headphone Jack, USB C, SD card slot, HDMI
Very fast boot up

Cons:
Matt rather than gloss screen (depends on your preference)
Short power cable (I would say 1.6m from the plug)
No easy access to upgrade the RAM & Drive

This is not a laptop for business although it may be OK for student.
The Samsung web site indicated the S7 series could be used as second screen with Galaxy Book and Galaxy Book Pro series of laptops. An online search on technical reviews gave praise to these and also said there are more ports on this base model of Galaxy Book than the Galaxy Book Pro.
Went on Samsung Product Support. First attempt was via their Chat. Support person did not know what I was asking when I asked which version of Windows 10 the Book came with ? Apparently this person never heard of Windows 10 Home, Pro or Enterprise varieties ????? Then I asked how does the tablet hook up to the main laptop to be used as second screen, does it need extra hardware and cables for instance ? The answer came back that IT DOESN’T !!

I can’t be that unlucky. I bought 3 of these, one from Samsung and two from Currys (not Amazon, but reviewing the product itself is helpful and I feel I need to warn people!) All 3 laptops came with typing issues which were inherent to the software and could not be fixed by any troubleshooting methods, I was told all 3 times that the laptop must be returned and replaced. My keys will sometimes repeat themselves from no fault of my own, I have tried everything to get them to stop but it is definitely a problem with the laptop after doing everything suggested both online and by the technicians. It is such a shame because the look aand feel of the laptop is amazing! Shame that it is riddled with this fault. Do not buy! I suggest waiiting until they can be bothered to fix this issue first.

It’s ashame I have to give such a low rating as the laptop is well built and looks good but similar to other reviews for this product, the double typing glitch was a problem. The longer the machine was powered on for the worse the double typing issue became. After speaking with tech support and going through all of the troubleshooting steps, the problem could not be fixed. I am returning the laptop and looking to purchase a different one as I didn’t pay £799 for a laptop that glitches on such a basic requirement.
