I virtually always buy Sandisk memory cards, but recently I have had 2 fail.
I had a 64GB card stop allowing new data to be written although it could read the current data. I had used this in my tablet.

This 32GB card worked for about 4 days in my dashcam, then completely failed. It would not read or write data and could not be detected by my dashcam or PC.

I don’t know if the newer cards are being made to a price rather than the quality they used to be? I have bought another couple as they were on offer. I hope they last longer than these aforementioned cards.

Update 5/10/19 I have just had another Sandisk 32GB SD card fail. It lasted approx. 5 months.

So would I recommend or buy again? Now that I have had 3 fail in different devices this year alone, then no I WILL NOT BE BUYING AGAIN OR RECOMMENDING THESE CARDS. THEY ARE A TOTAL WAST OF MONEY.

Card with no errors. Good reading speed but below expected writing speed. When testing using the adapter the writing speed was 15,5 MByte/s while the Reading speed was 66,3 MByte/s (which is the same as for the SanDisk SDXC Ultra and the SanDisk SDXC Extreme PRO). The writing speed however was surprisingly low considering it was promoted to be up to 98MB/s in view of the same test done for a) the SanDisk SDXC Ultra which is stated to be up to 80 MB/s came out with 52,4 MB/s and b) the SanDisk SDXC Extreme PRO stated to be up to 95 MB/s came out with 65,9 MB/s writing speed).

I have three of these, unfortunately one of them started to perform intermittently after a couple of years and eventually stopped working completely. So although they’re great for transferring files from one device to another, I don’t have the confidence to store files/photos on them permanently.

I’d recommend you back them up/transfer any important files/photos early and often.

I write this review based on my decades of experiences as a consumer and user of all manner of devices that use SD cards.

Bought to work with a car cam, the card was easy to install. Formatting with my equipment was just a matter of following the instructions.

Having used the camera for a day, I decided to check that which was being recorded.

I used the supplied adaptor to return this micro card to full size. I have an appropriate reader on my laptop and after a few clicks was watching my journey of a few hours before.

Overall, the card although more expensive than many similar sized cards is of a brand that is known to and trusted by me.

I am a prime member so a little of the sting was removed as there was no delivery charge.

Overall, does what it is supposed to do.

I have several SanDisk micro SD cards and they work very well. No complaints at all. Never this size though (256GB). I had difficulty from the start. I copied a lot of video and audio files for an holiday. I never could get them copied; there would be errors part way through the copy. I tried different laptops, desktops, phones. All experienced some kind of problem. Thinking there was a problem with my equipment, I went on holiday and forgot about it. Recently, I tried to get it to work again, and read the reviews. I saw someone contacted SanDisk for an RMA. So, I contacted SanDisk and they informed me that I had a counterfeit SD card – it was not a true SanDisk product. I never thought I would have to worry about counterfeit products from Amazon! I am glad that I can still trust SanDisk products. After reading the other reviews, I see I am not the only one that got caught by this. I will attempt to return to Amazon although it is past the return date.

I recently bought a NextBase DashCam to replace an old camera that had failed, I put my memory card from my old camera into the Nextbase one but I was having some odd issues with it that I reported to NextBase. They identified that the memory card I was using was the reason I was having issues and recommended a SanDisk product.

I ordered this card and it has been the solution to the issues I had, my DashCam now works faultlessly.

The card arrived next day and was shipped with a Micro SD card adapter.

The old card is a SanDisk but was not one that could write data at the speeds the dashcam uses.

Overall have had and will continue to use SanDisk drives they have always been reliable and trustworthy, I have had Kingston and Samsung disks that have failed and lost data, never had an issue like this with SanDisk.

I purchased this in December 2017. It failed in November 2018. Sandisk have since replaced it FOC but only a one time replacement. Their email stated โ€œ would like to explain that the card you are using is not built for applications that require constant read and write operations like car cameras, security cameras, bootable drives etc. For these kinds of applications, we recommend using High Endurance series cards, which can last thousands of hours even when used with operations like this.
SANDISK HIGH ENDURANCE VIDEO MONITORING microSD CARD

We will replace your card as a one-time courtesy for you but if you decide to use the card in car camera or a similar application, we will not be able to replace the card again.โ€

I therefore will use a different provider in future as their memory cards arenโ€™t as solid as youโ€™d expect.

Granted the dashcam records over it self. But to only last a year is a joke. Iโ€™ve had cards I use in my cameras for over 5 years now. They still work perfectly.
