Bought to replace the primary drive of a newly purchased laptop (knowing that the fitted one would be of a cheaper spec and has now been relegated to a data drive in the same laptop). Having used Seagate for decades for mechanical drives (only one of which has failed but only after nearly twenty years of use) I bought this one based on a combination of reviews, price/capacity and prior brand experience.

So far it’s doing a great job.

Needed a usb a to c cable with it which is fast enough (usb 3.2), the advert says one is included but certainly is not.

Very difficult to source a usb a to c 3.2 so I will be returning this product. Very misleading advert.

Plugged into my PS5 front USB C port formatted drive as extended storage then copied all my PS4 games onto it, very very fast copying so great. It does not come with a usb C to A lead as stated but I had one and after transferring games to it turned off the PS5 then reconnected it to the rear USB A port and it works great, so highly recommend it.

Seagate products speak for themselves and the firecuda 520 definitely does too. Amazing read and write speeds and it’s performance is amazing too. Since I’ve installed this I’m one of the first people loading into multiplayers games and sit wondering where everyone else is. Would highly recommend this upgrade for storage!

I’m hopping mad because I got this to replace another crummy M2 drive with bad write speed, but this one was even worse. Installed it and it wouldn’t show up on my BIOS at all. I tried three times to remount it hoping there was just some sort of user error, but after no luck I reinstalled the previous drive which immediately showed up in the BIOS. Don’t know what’s wrong with it, but it’s completely kaput and I’m going to have to send it back.

Despite what it claims I tried this on an ASUS motherboard with USB C USB 3.1 Gen 2 ports and its bad! Tried numerous games and they all stutter and stop. If you want to use this for games I cant recommend it. Its terrible and way overpriced!

Bought this to replace an external USB & Thunderbolt NVME with an Intel Mac Mini 2018. This is a good value for money product. Performance is fine and support for MacOS is good. Using with a Sabrent NVME drive. Very happy after 2 weeks use.

Note I found an issue with the LED software in that it won’t load when my Razer Chroma eGPU is connected. Hopefully there will be a fix but it’s not enough to warrant a lower score. Update – LED control now fixed on MacOS. Very impressed with the support.

This is my first SSD card and I’m impressed!
I’ve made a new build gaming pc with Ryzen 7 3700x and a Gigabyte rx5700xt with a HDD and finally had chance to buy this SSD.
The load up from switching on the pc is Instant!
Downloads and apps are so much faster and save my impatience lol so yes I’d happily recommend this
