I bought this to replace a Prestige pressure cooker after the red indicator broke for the second time.

I won’t be going back. The Tefal Eclipse is absolutely BRILLIANT! Robust, easy to clean and a joy to use.
    I thoroughly recommend it.

Chefs advice: OK not the cheapest pressure cooker but worth its price tag for ease of use excellent results and quality… itโ€™s a delight to cook in from stocks, soups vegetables and more… if you decided to buy one you will be using it on a regular bases 10/10

This is my second pressure cooker from Tefal. My old one have had for over 10 years. I could not find a replacement lid so opted for this one.
It is much lighter than am used to . I feel that the older version is stronger however. I will possibly update on this as have only used it once. Easy t clean and to open. It doesnt have a timer as some reviewers have said it does (unless I am missing something?!)
Anyway does the job. I bought it to cook beans and legumes as they take half the normal time.

Edit- 2 months later. The steem seems to be always out v control that I have had t switch off and cook on lid mode. I have cleaned and cleaned the lid with no avail. I cant even return!!!!!
Edit2- been in touch with manufacturers and they told me to clean it properly and that was it. Very disappointing and waste of money. Quite shocking for a big company actually. No more tefal for me .

Purchased the above and read all instructions before use . After using twice and following guidelines and timing I found that the vegetables were not cooked properly and still crunchy . This did not happen with my previous pressure cooker and I therefore find this one inefficient and not fit for purpose.
I am left with pressure cooker I cannot use and am forced to buy another one at great expense . Having paid ยฃ112 for this one I definitely would not recommend this pressure cooker.

I have cooking times for dried pulses, which is only what I use a pressure cooker for, for an old cooker. I discovered that this cooker operates at a lower pressure than my previous cooker. It took a lot of searching to find its operating pressure. The cooking instructions are little to nothing with no help on pulses. It has become a hit and miss process to establish cooking times. Had I known this I would not have bought the cooker. The only redeeming feature is it has no long handle.

I’ve used 3 different pressure cookers and two of them over ยฃ250, I was a bit reluctant to buy it as it was much cheaper. However this one is amazing, easy to use, high safety standards at a good price. Love it
