Turned it on and was only getting 4g, so moved it to near the window and automatically changed to 5g. Makes massive difference between the two. 4g 30mbs and 5g 220+mbs. Will update once i connect the antenna as currently both male ends even though itโs designed by same company. Bit of a oversight by tp link. A+++

Purchased for a static caravan to replace a pocket sized TP link router that worked intermittently. This one seems to be working a lot better though never having 3 bars it’s getting consistent signal with the occasional glitch in a mediocre signal area. It has the option of an external aerial but still no 3 bars.
It’s a slim compact device with all the info, signal strength etc displayed in easy view.
I’m satisfied with my purchase. It was a good price.
4 stars because a lack of comparison.

Bought to provide a WiFi network in our touring caravan in conjunction with a GiffGaff O2 SIM card renewable on a monthly basis and so far Iโm delighted with its performance. Granted itโs only as good as the strength of the phone network in the area but so far itโs regularly provided reliable download speeds and works extremely well with a Firestick when streaming Netflix/ iPlayer etc and with phones. Very satisfied with purchase.

Went out from Virgin Media and decided to go with this 5G router. Seems it was a brilliant idea! It has 4 internal antennas which gave me 100-150 Mbps of download, but with an external 5G antenna, I get 750 Mbps download and 100-110 Mbps upload. Happy with this purchase!

***Warning*** –
if I try and phone someoneon EE, or even my own mobile phone on asda (yes voicemail is set to on), it will NOT connect to voicemail and just gives a busy tone and rings off. I can leave voicemail on plusnet and O2, but EE and even my own mobile (also on asda mobile, same as the router) it won’t work. I tried all the settings, and even an O2 sim, and the problem persists. I can receive voicemail/answerphone messages ok, its the outbound ones I have the problem with. I contacted TP link who are not much help at all and have no solutions to offer other than what I have already tried and done. I am just going round in circles and not happy with the lack of interest from Amazon, who seem impossible to contact by email.
Has anyone got any ideas please ? Phone/Text and Internet works just fine. I have tried all 4 APN profiles, and it makes no difference. Sooner or later, if you ignore my advice, you will find out the hard way when you can’t reach someone and their voicemail…

I wasn’t able to connect initially – as the SSID on the sticker & the one I was seeing differed … (it wasn’t any other random TP link SSID – I’m in a campsite, alone!
However, once I’d reset it, then the SSID matched the one on the sticker. (I was thinking I might have had to use the Ethernet cable access option to re-set it back to the sticker, luckily I didn’t have to!)
