For years I’ve suffered BT, Sky, TalkTalk and all the rest of the money grabbing sods who won’t provide me with a good broadband service (they think 1Mb/s is acceptable!). Well stuff the lot of them, the lovely people at Three provide a SIM card and now I have 40+Mb/s download and 14Mb/s upload for less than I was paying the other lot … and before the trolls start … DATA = UNLIMITED ๐Ÿ™‚

Update August 2020. Changed to Vodafone Unlimited as 3 was getting very slow sometimes. Not just me but 2 others nearby had same issue and 3 were very unhelpful and lied multiple times on support calls. Told me the transmitter was being upgraded to 5G … In the middle of the countryside with no houses within 200m of it? Yeah right.

Do not expect to achieve the same 100Mbps+ speeds that one can achieve on a modern smartphone when using this device with Three UK.

The TP-Link MR600 simply will not establish a 4G+ connection with the Three UK MNO as has been confirmed by TP-Link themselves in the TP-Link SMB Community forums.

TP-Link state, and I quote “it is more related to the hardware limitation”
    Not a very promising statement.

The device will connect individually to band 1 (2100MHz) or band 3 (1800MHz), but will not establish Carrier Aggregation, which defeats the purpose and expense of buying a Cat6 4G+ device.

During peak hours, streaming is a painful process. One often resorts to using a Three UK connected smartphone as a hotspot to stream 1080p content, a move that leaves the TP-Link MR600 sulking in embarrassment on the wall across the room.

As someone who has been buying TP-Link products for nearly 10 years, it is disappointing that this device falls short, leaving one with a home network that simply cannot…

I bought this TP Link TL-MR6400 as a temporary solution while being in between fixed-line broadband providers, but from an economical point and the quality and features of this Router, I will not go back to fixed-line broadband any time soon.

The Router has 4 Ethernet connections and can handle 32 devices connected via WiFi, this is enough for us as we usually use WiFi and have only 2 devices hard wired to the Router, both Solar Battery System and our Video Surveilance System work best with fixed IP addresses assigned to their MAC address.

Itโ€™s very easy to set up the Router to do exactly what you want it to do; for details on full features like Firewall, VPN, Channel Forwarding, Parental Control, Guest Network, Data limit notification, Whitelist, Blacklist, etc etc please do check the User Guide PDF which Amazon.co.uk has available in the โ€œProduct Detailsโ€
This Router offers many features you will not find on any consumer products but on professional equipment only, yet you wonโ€™t…
