Apple’s iconic MacBook Air has received its most significant redesign since its initial release in 2008. Discarding its classic wedge shape in favour of a thinner, larger screen that is better than ever for 2022.
The updated laptop expands on the internal upgrades introduced with the game-changing M1 model in 2020. Introducing Apple’s next-generation M2 processor in a slimmer flat aluminum shell.
The outer frame has been simplified and retro-styled to match the 14″ MacBook Pro from last year, with no tapering and a flat top and bottom with smoothed sides. The M2 Air, on the other hand, is 4.8mm thinner, 50g lighter, and 20% less in volume than the previous generation, making it significantly slimmer than the rather chunky-looking Pro.
