What is a CoreBook?
The CoreBook X is the latest laptop from Chinese manufacturer Chuwi. It’s a ยฃ450/$600 laptop, similar to most of the other models designed by the company. Chuwi CoreBook X Pro is an improved version of the company’s earlier CoreBook X. It’s equipped with high-capacity components or hardware, making it a completely sturdy laptop capable of multitasking.

What is the Chuwi CoreBook X Pro like to use?
Battery Life
Runtimes are on average slightly below the average user which is around 6 hours. It’s still quite enough for those most likely users. It takes up to 2 hours to fully charge.
Gaming Performance
CoreBook does not play games that demand memory or high-resolution displays and has low performance in comparison to competitive games. It does, however, support eSports titles with little resolution and framerate requirements. This means that while they struggle to play games normally, eSports-supporting titles are playable by CoreBook.
Keyboard & Touchpad
Compared to typical laptops or desktop computers, the CoreBook XProโs purpose-designed keyboard has 28 keys, which are large and are designed to inspire an increased sense of satisfaction when typing and encourage ease of use.
The Keyboard Freestyle click pad is very large. it has a firm and very loud โclickโ when typing. However, the finger does not stick to the surface too much.
Display
Simply put, the CoreBook XPro can handle streaming movies because it has a high-resolution screen and it uses a technology called LCD light-guide panel which allows it to produce its own light under your activity, rather than bouncing light off of a back-lit display, by making your gadgets appear to be on top of the display.
The laptop has a large, readable display. With my eyes being targeted, the laptop isn’t hard on my eyes while I used it for hours.
Should I buy it?
The Chuwi CoreBook X PRO is lightweight enough to not overwhelm you but thick enough to provide a full Ethernet jack. The machine worked well, as long as you know its limitations. If you’re willing to make performance sacrifices, the CoreBook XPRO is the way to go.
