Mr. G. Napper –
Updated. Was initially excited about this but having used it for 24 hours feel a bit let down. I have a previous show model so am familiar with them. This appealed for the motion tracking but to be honest it doesn’t work very well and the novelty seems very expensive. On a plus side the screen is crisp the sound on par with my previous device. However to the motion side of things despite having it on an island with no obstructions it will turn to you on “Alexa” and track you initially fairly well but quickly will lose you if you move out of range and not find and track you when you return unless using the “Alexa” wake up to remind it. This is even when walking in front of it. The idle position is forgotten as well once it loses track of you it simply stays staring in the last seen direction instead of returning to the idle position, and as I say will not pick up on you when you return. So basically this function of tracking is flawed and in my opinion you would be better saving a…

Itโs here-the new Echo Pub Till!
Not really, itโs the Echo Show 10, Amazonโs latest model in the Echo Show range of smart home assistants, featuring Alexa and some new features.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS

Looking like the offspring of a regular Echo device and a Fire tablet, the Show 10 looms over its other siblings (see photo with Echo Dot for size comparison) and is clearly designed to be the centre of your smart home.
Amazonโs obsession with white power cables for every device, regardless of its colour, continues here (I own the charcoal fabric version) which isnโt a major problem but you do have to wonder at this particular decision.
The unit is reassuringly weighty so it sits firmly on a flat surface and thereโs no danger of it falling over if knocked. The screen is a 10โ HD display which is big enough for comfortable viewing and video calling. As everyone reading this probably knows, the screen rotates to track you while youโre video calling (or following a recipe) so youโll…

I got this device to put in the kitchen, to mainly use for my recipes which I have on a meal planner and to listen to music. But it doesn’t seem possible to have the browser open and listen to music at the same time. I even tried using Bluetooth from my phone to play the music and have the browser open for the recipes, but still wouldn’t work. If you are to use the touch screen it is quite unsteady. For such an expensive bit of kit it is quite disappointing. You would be better off buying a echo speaker, fire 10 HD and a stand in the sales for a 1/3 off the cost and a lot more functionality.

Bought this for the motion detection alerts , couldnโt get it to work so have spoken to Amazon customer services 3 times on the phone 1 time by email and once by chat . After all the unplugging setting the device up loads of times , to be then told that function does not work in the U.K. .
So today I said …Alexa take a note ….reply โ hmmm I donโt know that โ queried this with customer service who then told me to download Microsoft note skill ? Really ? When I pointed out that others on YouTube were just asking Alexa to take a note no skill needed ….guess what the reply was ? Yep that function does not work in the U.K. . Only had the device 3 days . How many more more functions are not available in the U.K.? Buy at your peril .
