I am loving this watch. I’m not a keep fit fanatic or a smart watch expert but this watch satisfys my needs.
I read and watched loads of reviews on various watches before taking the leap and settling with this one.
Guess what……., It does.what it says on the tin and it does it well so far.
Will do a more indepth review soon.

Really nice watch, operates fine, easy to use, just doesn’t have Alexa on it. Went through linking accounts, followed the instructions I found on the Amazfit website (eventually) still nothing. Amazon technical support were great but even they after half an hour (now 3 and a half for me) gave up and decided to get it returned. Strange how they actually did ask what language I had it setup as…I suspect Alexa may be available under something other than UK English. I will look for something else now.

The Amazfit GTR2 is a nice watch but, my £32 DT95 smartwatch has loads more features , which you charged every two days. Dispite this the stainless steel casing is very pleasing, clear to read dial, font message small, the leather strap not best quality, for the price paid, changed to a stailess steel band. This is day eleven 23% charge left, down loading new faces very quick, bought under a health scheme, so no money losted. Delivered in record time!

The look of the watch is really smart, I was after a smart watch with a round face so this fit the bill nicely. The materials and feel of the watch seem high quality. Irrespective of price, this is a good looking watch.
Battery life lasts a few days, but that’s with heart rate and stress etc monitoring on all the time (which isn’t really necessary). I mainly use this watch to track rubbing pace, heart rate and GPS. The app is really user friendly, and it’s super easy to connect to iPhones. The app seamlessly connects to Apple Health, as well as publishing activities to Strava. I’m yet to test out music, or Alexa so can’t comment on the effectiveness of these. The notifications are useful, and I was surprised to see how many emojis the watch supports. I wasn’t looking to spend too much on a smart watch, but I think this is great value for money!

This watch is wayyyyy better than those crazy expensive branded ones. I used to own a Samsung Active 1 and then 2 with pathetic battery life. They wouldn’t last even 1 day with continual use. This, however gives you juice for good few days and almost all the functionality of a high end watch. Yes, it has it’s own pitfalls like you can use NFC pay or answer calls or sms, but most of us could live without this I guess.
This watch is very easy to pair with a dedicated app, gives you good exercise tracking, heart rate monitor is pretty accurate and all this on a very affordable price.
I would highly recommend this watch. Well done Amazfit.

Having had a lower model from the Amazfit range I thought I’d upgrade. I loved the watch apart from one things – the GPS reception is extremely poor. It would drop out all the time, even in open sky and jump about too. An 8.5Km walk I do was suddenly 11Km and at one point onwas apparently walking at 22Kph…
If that aspect isn’t important to you then the display, battery life, connectivity etc. then this could be the watch for you. Of it is maybe look elsewhere.

Avoid this watch, it connects to the app on the iPhone but remains permanently in the sync mode thus preventing any other features from working such as changing watch faces. Customer services is totally non existent. Nice watch but not as described and a total waste of money.

Not that easy sorting notifications but got there in the end and eventually got messages and emails to display.
Also tried to set up Alexa over OTA and find it’s not yet available that was the main reason I bought this watch. I returned the watch after 4 months and bought a fitbit versa 3 with Alexa on it. Note the latest Amazfit GTR2 is advertised with Alexa on it.
