In light of the mixed reviews, I was apprehensive about purchasing this product. Thankfully, the pressure cooker works rather well (so far). Hence, I wrote this review to assist other potential buyers who may also share my reservations.
Points to note, in no particular order, include:
(1) STAINLESS STEEL BODY: Good quality, heavy stainless steel. It has a thick base to prevent burning. This is NOT flimsy rubbish, it is a quality item. The listing states the 4L weighs 2.61kg.
(2) INDUCTION COMPATIBLE: Works on my induction without any problems.
(3) EASY OPERATION: Operating the pressure cooker is pretty straight forward and if you follow the instructions CAREFULLY you should be fine.
To help those who have not used a stove top pressure cooker before the steps are as follows:
* Check all vents are clean and clear.
* Place the gasket in the lid.
* Place the requisite amount of food and liquid/water in the pan.
IMPORTANT: when pressure cooking food items it is important to remember that: (a) a…

It is a really nice product. I use a pressure cooker for years and I can’t live without one. Very shiny and cooks very quickly, so be aware. I saw some comments about leaking. It happened to me, but it was because it was not locked when I closed it or it could be overfilled with water. After I realised it, never leaked again. I highly recommended it.

I have had two pressure cookers before, both Prestige. So, I thought I’d go for the same again. But, on seeing the difference in price and a bit of research I thought I’d give the Amazon one a go. Good decision! I’m delighted with it!
It is so easy to understand and use, has a wide base to spread the contents so cooks quicker and more evenly, not too heavy, but robust and easy to clean. NB It needs a really good clean out before using. It looks fine, but there is a fine layer of steel dust – just wipe a damp piece of kitchen roll over it! I needed to use a cream cleaner over the base( and very carefully over the lid) and rinsed well.
Once up to steam you can turn it down quite a bit to continue cooking, as recommended in the booklet that comes with it. It also doesn’t take too long for the pressure to drop, but I’ve only filled it 1/3 full so far. Only slight thing that is disconcerting is that water drips a bit from the base of the handle whilst it’s getting up to pressure, but once…

just a warning when you read instruction book – to cool it down after cooking either leave it to cool or turn dial at the top to setting that releases steam. well first time i used i turned dial to release steam. the liquid shot out all over the wall, cooker top, kitchen top, all up my t shirt what a mess, if you leave it to cool it takes forever. so i did what we used to do 50 years ago and trickled cold water down one side of it which it says not to do but it was always ok.

This product leaked and felt very unsafe. Didnโt feel safe standing over it. I had my previous cooker for years and never had these problems

Really well made pressure cooker. Works with induction hob. Not too heavy. Easy to use – just follow the instructions. Remember to turn down the heat once the steam is escaping freely. Avoid cooking stuff that produces a lot of froth such as lentils. Ten to 15 minutes at the second (highest) pressure setting is enough to tenderise even the toughest cut of meat. A spare gasket is worth buying, also from Amazon.

I bought a pressure cooker from Amazon Basic. The fur is of good quality, resistant material, but it is not safe, it has leaks even within the specified limits of the instructions of use. I tried to use the pan carefully and according to the hygiene instructions, it leaks from the handle and the valve. I believe the sealing rubber is not the most appropriate. I am flustered because I researched a lot before buying and she looked very good, but actually leaves much to be desired.
I bought it on the 22nd of September and since then I have been trying to use it, but it always presents a problem, even at the minimum limit, if it puts the maximum of its capacity is something impossible to use.
