Nikob –
This ASUS VG27AQ sports the usual ROG-Esque aesthetics in spite of the TUF Gaming branding and is absolutely brilliant and for the price, it has so many awesome features and performs beyond my expectations.
This is a high-resolution display that has zero dead pixels (I was worried about this) it is sharp and crisp and happily runs at 2560 x 1440 @ 165Hz, this is higher than advertised and it is flicker-free.
I found a company on the internet that had carried out an in-depth and very extensive review and calibration using “Blur Busters TestUFO Motion Tests and the Data Color Spyder5ELITE Display Calibration System”.
I contacted them via email prior to purchasing this monitor and they were happy to send me the ICC Profile that they had created, this was set as the default within Windows 10 Pro and the result is superb.
I am highly delighted with this monitor as the build quality is far superior to what I was expecting and the ease of setting up and operation makes this an absolute…

So here i would like to review so i can help people to get an idea what they will get. I will remove any of my personal opinions and just go through the goods and bads which will effect everybody.
Amaizing quality and stylish.!!! But the good results will come after calibration. I had to get advise for the specific panel which was calibrated with advance tools. Racing Mode: Brightness 35, Contrast 80, User Colour Red=100, Green=96, Blue=93. Those settings are very important to have if you want the 100% of the monitor. You will need only to play with brightness if needed, depending on your preferences. For me those settings should fit any room and eye.
Now the bads 🙂
1) Does not have usb intergraded like many gaming monitors do
2) The cable management on the base sucks. Not practical at all.
3) It connects to the power with an extra adapter. I would prefer strait cable to the monitor without extra adapters.
So overall a fantastic monitor with few drowbacks.

I’ve bought this monitor brand new from Amazon because it was praised by many online communities as a really good product and I really enjoyed its features and performance, that is until it stopped working overnight for unknown reasons, it just refused to power up or give any sign of life. I tried some basic troubleshooting steps to verify if the issues relied with the product or my computer/power outlet, nothing came of it, a quick Google search determined the problem was likely either a bad power supply or circuit board malfunction.
I then decided to request a replacement and return the item to Amazon, (the process was was handled brilliantly and hassle-free), but sadly a month after use, the replacement is currently sitting on my desk, dead much like its predecessor.
I never had anything of the sorts happen to me before but sadly this is my story with this item, wanted to give it one star but I feel like I might’ve just gotten really unlucky with a bad batch from Amazon.
Also I’d…

Granted the colours we’re good, and it was well designed. The monitor was faulty. Horrible ghosting, flickering and horizontal lines. Tried both HDMI and DVI different cables. Requested a replacement, instead was only offered a refund. Which is a hassle. My guess is because this is a reoccurring problem.
Buy at your own risk. If you get a good model great, but I feel you should be prepared to return it.

Bought on 7/10/19 for the price of £499.9:
Everything came as advertised, with all the impressive functionalities and buttery smooth gameplay experience.
BUT my unit came with very annoying IPS glow, that was noticeable even in ambient lighting, especially on the right lower corner.
A bit disappointed as my previous IPS monitor had a minimal IPS glow, thus spoiling my tolerance! The sound system is appreciated, but it really sucks as usual in many monitors.
I have just edited this review- I have previously mentioned backlight bleeding in this monitor, but I now realise that the monitor has IPS glow and it is not backlight-bleeding (glow is from the corners, and the brownish-yellow hue that is characteristic of higher refresh rate panels that disappear when you change the angle of viewing). You can see minimal backlight bleeding here on the left hand side of the monitor, just below the left corner below the IPS glow.
The submitted picture has actually made the panel look a lot worse than…
