Before I decided to buy this laptop, I was struggling about quality, keyboard, trackpad etc. When I took the laptop in my hand, I was sure that I made a good choice.
Screen quality: It is perfect matte screen, colours are delightful, watching netflix or editing photos in luminar or photoshop also satisfied experience.In my opinion, full hd screen better than 4k screen in case of battery life.Because the main reasonz of buying these kind of laptops are portability and battery life.
Battery: I used laptop for 4 days and every day I tried different confirigation like both screen on or screenpad plus closed.Results are; wgen the both screens are working in high brightness you can use ypur laptop between 6 and 7 hours however running apps are which requires high performance will effect your battery.( On the main screen I opened powerpoint slides, Word and Adobe reader.Screenpad plus: I used this screen for spotify and chrome at the same time.) I have to admit there has been very much hype with this laptop and the duo pro version. I remember going into a computer shop before the covid shutdown of shops. I didn’t buy from there, thus I resorted finally to Amazon as the only option after some thorough pondering after my other laptop decided to fall apart. I remember the seller telling me at the shop that this is a brilliant laptop for artists and that you can actually use the second screen with a pen, to illustrate. I asked if I can use the second screen (screenpad plus) as a sort of “wacom tablet” and the answer was of course. Well, I should have done a bit of more research then just believing the enthusiastic seller.
First thing with screenpad plus is – it’s angle. You have to really watch it straightly and not with an angle to see clearly. It is quite a bit dimmer than the regular screen. I got 3 units. All have main screen with grain. It’s unacceptable last generation OLED have this issue and more in a premium laptop. Asus is reckoning screen are defective but they can’t guarantee repair or replacement will be fine. I wonder if Amazon will remove this product until issues are solved

It could have been a good notebook, but first of all Samsung decided to copy some “features” that even die-hard Apple fans hated and cut a USB port and the card reader from it. How can you cut the card reader from a notebook you say is for content creators?? Secondly, the software for it on the Asus website is a complete mess: I am suggested to update the BIOS to version 204, when my notebook came with version 300 (which is not even available to download), the audio driver cannot be installed in any other way then from a command line, etc.
And, to top it all, Amazon refused to send me a EU plug (or at least an adapter) with it, and the support person that I chatted with assured me that the keyboard is US layout, when in fact it is UK. Pathetic!
