This is a really good 4k monitor especially for the price.I bought this for gaming on my xbox one x and it ticks all the boxes allowing me to play Gears of war ,halo ,codww2 and even fortnite in 4k HDR 60hz its perfect for the xbox one x and allows you to get everything out of the console .
BENQ always seems to deliver in price and quality for that money.
My only issue is the menu system takes abit to get use to but doesnt take too long but i do like that there is a HDR button

Monitor is great, picture quality of 4K and the HDR was phenomenal. But this was completely ruined by the fact the HDR components in the monitor are budget at best, ended up having to get this replaced the first time after only a week when the HDR components broke and the HDR stopped working whixh made colours washed out and grey ish and made games unplayable because the HDR cannot be turnes off when playing HDR games. This was then followed up by the replacement monitor also breaking due to the exact same manner after less than a month, maybe if I got a third it was last longer again but not worth the time and money, would recommend a different compnay/monitor.

First and foremost, if youโre lucky enough to receive one that isnโt faulty I can confirm that the picture quality, along with the HDR setting is excellent and on paper the perfect monitor especially for console gaming (XboxOneX / PS4Pro)
However, somehow I managed to roll 3 faulty monitors in a row, the first being a simple dead pixel near the centre of the screen and to be honest it wasnโt the biggest deal as you could only see it on certain backgrounds but part of me felt put off as I had just forked our a fair amount of money for a brand new monitor, I should at least get all of the pixels that I payed for. Returned it and thanks to Amazonโs amazing customer support I received a replacement the next day – this one had no dead pixels, but after every 5 minutes or so white vertical lines would start fading over the screen which was extremely offputting especially mid-game. That one definitely had to go back, so third time lucky? Nope. This one worked fine for about an hour until I…

A very nice looking monitor, however, beware if buying for HDR content. My monitor has suffered from terrible colour banding when set in HDR mode. Unfortunately, this makes the entire screen very unusable as scenes suffer “auras” around areas (see pic). When in non-HDR (“normal”) mode, the banding goes away. This effect is the same on both HDMI and DisplayPort from multiple PCs. If this is the quality that BenQ strive for, I’ll be careful with recommending them in future.

…Is quite frankly the best monitor I have EVER used.
The item I received had 0 dead pixels, 0 backlight bleed, and overall seems to be in absolute perfect condition, as intended.
So with a perfectly made monitor as BenQ intended, let’s talk about the capabilites and the specs of the monitor.
+144Hz
+IPS panel (IPS and 144Hz is unheard of, only BenQ and LG have done it so far, and the LG model isn’t available for purchase in the UK currently.) The viewing angles are TV quality, there is no degridation when viewing from different angles that you will get with a TN, or VA panel.
+HDR and a HDRi ; (setting that mimics HDR content to look exactly like true HDR content. So basically you can use HDR on everything, even if it’s not made for HDR. With a quick click of the remote control, now it is. And according to the HDR colour graph I’ve seen online comparing true HDR to the HDRi, it’s actually within 2% of true HDR, so the emulation I am talking about with HDRi, is seemingly damn near…

Horrible monitor, I’m a competitive gamer and the picture and colour are nice but the ghosting and motion blur are just horrific if you are playing a fps game and are doing anything other than running in a straight line forwards you have no chance of even seeing anybody let alone shooting them. It’s enough to make me feel nauseous, I’ve come from a 27 inch tn panel to this and the gain in colour is just not worth the loss of fluidity
