I dipped my toes in to the more than HD at the budget end of the market and I am very impressed with the picture quality. I deliberately chose a monitor with in-built speakers but am a bit disappointed with them. It’s not that sound quality is particularly bad, but even with the volume set to 100, they are quiet.
Rated at 4 overall, if I didn’t care about the speakers I would have given this 5.
Edit: Having spent some time tweaking the sound configuration in Linux (Pulse audio and alsa) the speakers are not as bas as I thought.

I must say… I was left, confused on recieveing this monitor. As ordered, I recieved the BenQ GL2580. I have to say, from my experience with the monitor so far, I am completely in love with it. HOWEVER, upon recieving it, i realised that instead of a โ24.5 inchโ display as described on the amazon ad, it was actually 25. Now im not complaining about the fact that i got some extra real-estate.. but the box is also marked with a โ2ms response rateโ which is double what is advertised on the amazon ad. This is being used for pro-league gaming (for an upcoming team who cannot yet afford the investments of 144hz monitors, so these 85s will be great (although im also limited to 60hz right now?? But that could be because of my elgato hd60 pro in the signal chain.) overall, im impressed with the monitor, but would prefer if the amazon store page told the truth, so that I knew exactly what I was getting into. Thanks.

These are some really good budget monitors, but that’s all they are.
Unfortunately, I personally wouldn’t recommend these to anybody seeking todo professional work with them or anything other than general internet browsing.
I bought 3 of these to upgrade my quickly ageing 19″ 19:10 monitors, my first impressions were great, that is compared to my older ones, however, now after a month of use I’ve experienced my fair share of niggles and small annoyances with them.
To start with, the quality between panels is substantially different, this is in the colours, one of my 3 monitors had* a yellow hue to it, this became increasingly noticeable with daily use, the other two had similar colours, however, were not anywhere near similar of each other.
For general internet browsing, this monitor will be the cheapest and best you can buy, the best viewing angle is with your eyes in line with the top bezel looking down on the screen, I’ve found with them on my stand, with my eyes central, they are a…

I have used BenQ for a few years now and I rely on their well built, professional style of monitors. This one is just that. The image quality is fantastic for this price range, I canโt review the speakers as I didnโt opt to have that specific model. One minor flaw however is that the button placements (underneath the monitor) arenโt as efficient as had anticipated. They donโt apear to have information near them which usually indicate what they do. This consequentky makes the UI and menus hard to navigate. With some practice however, this becomes less of an issue. Other than that, itโs a fantastic monitor, from a reliable company, at a great price. Highly recommended!

Overall a pretty decent monitor. Picture quality is decent for 1080p, and the blue light reduction is very handy when switching over to windows late at night. The speaker quality is awful, so I wouldn’t rely on it for any sort of use – and the volume control is pretty well hidden. Thankfully it has headphones out though. Also the small bezel is really nice – helps the monitor not take up anywhere near as much space. The only thing I really don’t like is the stand that comes with it – it’s very low and not height adjustable, leading you to crane your neck to use it in a comfortable way unless you prop it up with some books, or get a proper vesa mount.
Overall pretty pleased, definitely good value for money – I’d just say there’s a reason that other monitors are so expensive!
