UPDATED JUNE (1 MONTH POST PURCHASE)
I had originally reviewed this at three stars, but after a month of usage, I have reduced to two stars.
The issue with live video stalling appeared to resolve itself after a day or two, so that is not of concern.
However, the camera has a MAJOR flaw switching between day mode, and night vision. Most mornings, the camera still has the red light lit, meaning night vision is on. The camera does not capture any of my movements during this time. The only way I have found to fix it is to enter live view, you hear the audible click as night vision shuts off, and then it will start to record motion clips again. Unless I remember to do this every morning, there’s a chance the camera won’t catch that vital piece of footage. In fact, while writing this review at 3pm on a sunny afternoon, I’ve just gone downstairs to check, and found the camera with the red light on. Last motion was captured 00:38 this morning, when I went to bed.
I’ve seen other reviews…

ย This is my first camera like this, I wanted something simple and easy to view remotely on an app and this fits the bill.
Price is good and setup is easy:
– Install App (Blink Home Monitor)
– Make an account (if you don’t have one)
– Add camera using QR code on the camera (and on the box)
Pros:
– Price
– Easy to setup
– Video quality good
– Listen to the audio from the camera AND ability to talk back to it
– Great App – loads of config options such as night vision, recording light, volume, sensitivity for motion
Cons:
– Currently the local storage additional module is not available so you are limited to their online subscription storage (free trial included). I’m not sure if you can record just to the App manually.
Finally – the box comes with mounting screws but no instructions about how to get the bottom plate off and I cannot find an easy way to do it!

The key things to know is it feels like a quality product despite the relatively low price point. It can do everything the more expensive battery powered Blink cameras can do aside from being cable free. The video quality is very good.
The big kicker for those of us with existing Blink systems (prior to April 15th 2020) there is no cloud storage charge. This isnโt the case for new customers but there is a free trial period. If you already have a few Blink cameras and wanted additional indoor extra ones this is definitely the way to go. The software confirms there will be no cloud recording costs during installation.
You can turn off the record light via the app, unlike the Blink XT2 where you have to flick an internal switch.

I added these cameras to an existing blink XT2 system so I got free cloud storage if not this would be an even worse review.
So the good points, It is relatively small…. And there I run out of praise unfortunately.
Bad points…
It cannot get the exposure right going from night to day so I am frequently seeing vids that are all dark or all white at dawn and dusk until I move through the frame and it then corrects itself, well after I am out of shot sufficiently to identify myself and an indoor camera is there to capture images of persons entering my home illegally not for a strange voyeuristic purpose. It also has the same when with switching the lights on and off.
The lead is 2m long and while micro usb actually has a moulding on it to fit into the back of the camera which makes it a Blink only lead which is not long enough to reach from my ceiling to my plug socket right beneath the camera and my other one I can’t even plug in without using a usb extension lead as the run of cable…

I canโt believe how this isnโt better, bearing in mind itโs made by Amazon in 2020!
The app is awful! The camera isnโt great, and the night vision is bad even across a small room. I already have 2 NEOS smartcams, and have already swapped this Blink for another NEOS as theyโre far better, better night vision and a far better app integration, and still works with an Echo Show (and theyโre cheaper!)
