Light and easy to use. Fast charging therefore having only one battery should not be a problem. Early days yet, but battery appears to retain charge when drill not used. Bought to replace my ageing Black & Decker, with 2 batteries, neither of which now hold a charge at all.

This is to replace one that I’d had for years but had seized up after a winter in the damp and unheated shed. To be honest for the elderly and not so strong this is absolutely wonderful for reasonably light work – though I wouldn’t try drilling through masonry with it.

This is the best purchase I made so far, and I’m sure I’ll be loyal to this brand from now on. The drill/driver is wonderful, battery life is great, I did two sessions on a project I’m working on and the battery is still on that first initial charge, it also charges very quick. The button you use to start it is very sensitive, press it a little is goes slow, press it more it will go quicker, power is also very satisfying, it never struggles. I am happy with my purchase and it is indeed worth the money.

I’ve received the product yesterday and have to say I am positively surprised.
I’ve put some thick screw into hard wood and went very smooth. I had previously done it by hand and took quite an effort.
The weight is right and the tool-free chuck is great (no problems with it undoing itself).
I’ll how the battery copes and post an update.
4 stars because the box was all dirty and scratched.

This is a good lightweight cordless drill, it works well as an electric screwdriver and for drilling hole in lightweight material such as wood and plasterboard. It’s not so good if you are drilling into heavy material like brick. The battery charges quite quickly and last a long time.

ordered this drill and on FIRST use it did not work contacted BOSCH and they said yes this usually is a FAULT and was told to return to Amazon and get a refund!! I went for this make as I thought they were a good make and it was a lot more EXPENSIVE than all the rest on Amazon ,I,ll go for the cheaper brands in future after all the trouble I went through to return it

I got this to replace an 18v Skil screwdriver that finally died after many years of faithful service and was not repairable. A little skeptical at first because the PSR1800 is a little smaller than my old skill and I wondered if it would have the power I needed.
I needn’t have worried because despite its smaller size it feels comfortable in the hand, being well balanced, and is powerful enough to drive in a 6 x 150mm screw directly into a fence post without any pilot hole. The battery on full charge lasts a good time – sorry can’t be more specific – but equally good is that it takes only a hour to charge from almost flat.
The charger is well designed. Lights on the driver indicate battery status so you can tell when it needs a charge. You can either plug the whole driver+battery into the charger or disconnect the battery and charge that separately.
Comes with a 1.5Ah Lithium-ion technology battery which is so much better than Ni-cad or NI-Mh. No memory affects and little if any self…

Excellent excellent drill. Ca me with half charge which lasted ages. With the hour charge you couldn’t ask for more. Love this compact drill and would 100% recommend
