Regret buying the L-3550CDW as Brother have altered the software so all toners deplete at the same time, very very expensive if mainly using black. Going back to the 9020CDW model

Really good quality printing. At this price forget about the hassle from inkjets. My refillable Epson was so unreliable I got fed up with it and bought this color laser to replace it. So easy to set up and use. If you don’t need a sheet feeding scanner then save money by getting this model. The paper hopper is big enough and it only takes 15 seconds to warm up from completely off to start printing. Printing speed is OK for home use and color matching is good. Do you really need such high dpi to print photos? No not really if the colors come out as well as this. I also bought a full set of high capacity color toners for 66 quid which isn’t a lot more expensive than an ink jet set. Plus laser toner doesn’t dry up if you don’t use it. All in all really pleased with it.

I like this printer a great deal. Itโs an ideal printer for a home office or small business with mid-level printed output โ the recommended duty cycle is 300-1500 pages per month. The printer is not by any means small, and the box it comes in is absolutely enormous. This is a heavy printer, and may need two people to lift it. The printer is supplied with a complete set of 4 full-sized toner cartridges. This printer can take two sizes of toner (manufacturer codes TN243 and TN247 โ roughly 1,000 pages at 5% coverage per cartridge, and 2,500 page coverage at the same level). The toner cartridges supplied with the printer are the smaller TN243 size, but nonetheless full-sized products rather than reduced size starter versions.
This is an efficiently functional, boxy, but pretty rugged all in one wireless printer/scanner/copier. The plastic itโs made from is matt and for the most part fairly pale in colour, although around the output, flatbed, and controls, thereโs a darker contrasting…

This printer is so slow! That’s when it isn’t asleep or offline. I am so disappointed in this printer but I have to pay to return it so I am stuck with it. I am actually sat here trying to get it to print, it’s been 30 minutes so far and nothing but errors. ๐ When it does print it is really slow, you could press print and then wait 4 or 5 minutes for it to print.
I see another reviewer complaining about the unreliable WiFi, it’s true! I have a great home WiFi signal but this printer is always having problems connecting – other devices don’t! I have even got the usb cable plugged in at the moment and it’s still not working.
Oh, wow! It’s just printed one of the things in the cue. Guess it’s going to be 30 minutes a sheet!! Not impressed!
(UPDATE) Sat here AGAIN waiting for this thing to print with nothing but errors! Forget this printer.

Just bought and installed this printer for wireless home office printing with Windows 10 on a PC. Installed easily first time and prints beautifully, lovely, sharp quality. It’s my first laser printer and the print quality is impressive. It’s a bit larger than I expected, but looks and sounds like a professional printer. I paid ยฃ177 for it, which seems like good value for money, although I believe the toners are expensive to replace. If it remains hassle-free it wil be worth the slightly extra cost over an inkjet. I bought this after having ongoing software issues with a brand new HP Officejet 3831, which I have just given away after months of hassle.

I liked this printer, until I found out today about its irritating controlling nature concerning the toner cartrages. After not many pages printed (occasional personal use over four months), the printer has decided that I need to replace the toner cartrage, even though it is still producing fine prints. It gives me the “replace toner” error message and refuses to print at all unless I do so. I find this infuriating, the kind of irritating money-grabbing trick that had driven me away from inkjet printers in the past. Obviously, this is a transparent method to force me to buy toner, even though I don’t need it yet. Excuse me, but I want to be the judge of the print quality that is good enough for me, and when I have a low-stakes but large print job, I am fine to use a low-on-toner print cartrage. Especially when I am in a hurry. Just print the job, the best you can. When the print quality is low, then I will change the cartrage. Imagine driving a car that refused to start, because it…
