Since purchasing this camera my wildlife and sporting photos have improved immenselySoon as I saw the first photo on my computer I was amazed at the detail and low noise. I was getting. see photos. They were taken with the Canon RF F11 800MMM LENS. Fast shutter speed . If you can afford it you will not regret it.

New Intelligent AF really good on animals and birds. Quality is great, don’t need to worry about it being only 20mp.

I wasn’t sure with the camera only having the 20mp what the bird photos would be like. I had an 18mp 7D a while back but it just didn’t cut it. This on the other hand because I can whack a 1.4 or 2X converter on my 600mm lens and still track a subject is a game changer for me. I couldn’t be happier. I think I may upgrade to the R5 sometime in the future but I am in no rush, this camera is spot on for what I need

I switched about 5 years ago from Nikon DSLRs to Sony & Fuji, which at the time was regarded as the better manufacturers and Nikon and Canon were lagging way behind. But I was stunned when I saw the specification for Canon’s second range of r cameras, being the r5 and r6. I don’t need 40 plus megabytes so the 20 megabyte r6 was ideally suited.
This is my first Canon mirrorless camera. It came with a camera, charger, battery, camera strap, manual (nice change not to have to download one) and the 24-105 mm lens.
Straight out of the box I charged the battery up – took a few hours and I so wish they were fully charged when you get them, but maybe it’s a fire risk.
Setting the camera up through the menus was pretty straightforward after the initial…

I’m still getting used to it but so far it’s met the high expectations which I had.
