The printer was a replacement for a Canon Pixma MX330 which had a paper tray problem after 11 years of service. This printer is a sideways step not a step up. The LCD screen is not backlit, which is really annoying. I have to use a light from my phone to see the screen display. The Wi-Fi printing is flaky – once it is setup it works, but then overnight, it resets itself, and then I have to reconfigure my computer to find it again.
The printing speed is good and the quality is fair – it only came with starter inks, so it is premature to judge the ink consumption. The ink prices I have seen for the printer thus far are fair. Scanning speed is good both from the ADF and the flatbed. Copy speed and quality is good.
The printer itself is lightweight and portable enough to be moved around easily, compared to the MX330 which was like a tank. The paper feed tray is on the bottom of the printer – rather than the traditional top, standing up paper tray.
All in all, you get what you pay for at…

Just tried it first time and since I did not have any a4 paper 🙃, I used the A4 self adhesive sticky white paper and I am very happy with the result.
My intentions are to create label logos for glass bottles which is why I bought the A4 self adhesive paper and I understand that the print quality is different to what it would be on A4 paper, my guess is that the print quality on paper would be much better. On the adhesive paper the print is great, the colours do not smudge but the black ink needs more time to dry properly.
I will update this comment as i go along
I am happy with the printer, I would say that if you want to print edges of the paper then I would suggest getting something better.

Replacement for old Pixma 600. Using my router, it was very easy to set up for wireless operation from my PC and 2 mobile phones. Good print quality. The remote switch on/auto switch off, and printing from mobile phone is brilliant. Works well with the Canon templates. As others have mentioned, the supplied ink cartridges don’t last long so get the XLs.

Spent hours trying to get this printer to work properly. The print was uneven and faded some areas didn’t print at all. I finally realised that even the print head alignment sheet hadn’t printed correctly, I was given the opportunity by Amazon to talk to the supplier but frankly really didn’t feel like wasting more of my time waiting for a call or trying to fix it over the phone, call me old fashioned but I expect a product to work when I buy it. Apart from never buying another Canon printer I am also going to swerve the company that sent me this piece of rubbish.

So easy to use and install, best all in one including fax and multi page scan and copy. Looks good so no need to hide away.

I bought this to replace the second Epsom which failed on me (blaming me for switching them off without closing down properly – something I have never done). So far, this new printer fully meets my expectations, and seems very good value for money.

The auto document feeder and fax are the only reasons to take this machine over the other budget Canon printers.
The printer came with a black (PG-545) and a colour (CL-546) ink cartridge. The print quality is decent and the machine can print double sided.
If you need to use the manual scanner, the hinges on the lid raise up slightly to allow room for a thin book to be copied.
The auto document feeder holds around 20 sheets of paper but can only scan single sides, so copying double sided documents appears to be a little tricky. However, it copies a single sided document seemingly with ease, producing a copied page every 10 seconds or so. The auto document feeder pulls the paper in nice and slowly, rather than a fast jolt.
While the keypad feels fairly solid, the plastic is a little flimsy, but no worse than any other budget printer.
It’s a great budget printer, and does everything to a decent standard. It is a handy little machine to have for scanning small documents and invoices to a…

I had to send this printer back. I tried getting it set up. The man I contacted tried to talk me through it but he was telling me exactly what I had done. In the end even he said you have time return it.
