Several points that others may not find a problem. After switching on Printer it does not react to print a document sent to the printer. Messages come up that it is off line or after several minutes it decides to print. What annoys me most are the continuous messages on the desktop about the printer which you cannot remove from reoccurring every time the computer is switched on. You have to delete the messages each time. There are blogs on the internet to try and cure this but I failed to apply any of them successfully. I also purchased a XL Cartridge for the printer and this was rejected by the machine. I was assured by the company selling me the cartidges that there should be no problem. – But the XL versions of the cartidges failed to work in this printer. Very disappointed overall with machine.

Every few weekd the printer refuses to print, claimimg it is offline, when it isn’t. This results in me having to remove its existing |MP drivers and reinstalling all the software for it.
THis means I have to waste my time resolving the issue when there really isn’t one in the first place. I have never had this problem with any of the previous printers I have had and tikes me about 2 hours every few weeks to resolve. The Canon Technical Department could not advise me other than carry out what I am already doing.
This Printer is an absolute pile of junk!

The simple truth is that my printer refuses to comply with it’s primary function of printing out documents I request it to print. Either by WiFi or directly by lead.
It worked fine for 6 months then decided to sulk and refuse to comply with my requests to print out computer generated documents.
It still works for scanning (but not WiFi requests) and copying.
I infrequently print out in any event, but for the last 3 sessions, I have to go through detailed searching of the cause of the problem and resolve. After 2 hours later of complete frustration, I can eventually print off my boarding passes or concert tickets. I can not express my frustration enough in terms that are printable here.

So I bought this is a hurry after my cat peed on my old printer. I needed it in a rush and I needed it to work with the ink I already had, it met both of those requirements.
I used the app on my phone to print and scan until I decided to install it on my PC, unfortunately it isn’t compatible with Windows 8.1. I read that it does work with Windows 10 and 7 which kinda makes me wonder why it doesn’t work with 8.
I can still use the app on my phone and there are countless ways to get files to my PC, so it’s not that big a deal.
I’ll give it 5 stars when drivers are developed for Windows 8.1.

A good printer as long as it worked, but after a couple of weeks it stopped connecting to my wireless network. I spent an evening reading every recipe I could find to rectify the problem, but ended up calling Canon product support. That solved nothing either. Apparently, Canon printers ยซcannot connect to 5 ghz networks and this is a problem specific to Canonยป. Why it had stopped connecting when it worked at first, was given no explanation. Despite the printer being only a month or two old, the only option I was offered was to send it to a repair centre. No replacement was offered. Beware of this printer if you have a high speed internet connection or/if you are concerned about good customer support!

It does the job,it prints well and clear. It does NOT print on both sides of the paper ,something I failed to realise,but then for the price you can’t expect bells and whistles?
Might not buy it again and go for more expensive,however our last v.expensive printer got destroyed by electric spike after power cut, so if that happened again replacing this one would not be so financially painful.
Took a bit of patience setting up,got there in the end.

Started working , now just refuses to print anything. Have set up on the network, but will not work no matter what I try. Really fed up with this piece of sheet.

A cheap and mostly cheerful printer to replace a faulty Canon MG5650 (TS3150 is likely cheaper than getting MG5650 repaired!)
Build quality is average at best but then this is a budget printer built down to a price I guess.
It was easy to install and set up, it auto detected the relevant wireless network and connected to that network without issue.
Note, the standard install routine didn’t seem to include the scan driver or software so had to download that from the Canon UK website (the download is called “TS3100 series MP Drivers Ver.1.00 (Windows)”) . Once installed, scanning worked fine.
Print, copy and scan quality seem pretty good for such a cheap device but print speed is very slow – not a concern for very light users like me but you may want to consider other products if you print a lot of stuff. As ever, the Amazon delivery service was excellent, arriving the next day as promised.
It will be interesting to see how quickly it gets through ink !
