The One True Bob – Leeds –
I purchased this item going on the basis of Amazon Renewed’s promise – that it ” works & looks like new” That should not be something you have to take with a pinch of salt. Ok so it’s a second hand machine but that doesn’t mean it can’t be rebuilt or renovated to appear as new. There were many testimonials to the effect that these machines are.
But beware. Because these machines come ‘renewed’ from different companies. You’ll see ‘sold by’ The IT Buffs or in my case Level 3 Computers – & it appears these companies may have markedly different standards.
My computer arrived late having left Bradford for Leeds, (9 miles) but somehow reaching me via Hinckley in Leicestershire thanks to DPD – but they’re another & very sad story. I only trust Amazon Logistics for shipping personally.
When the computer arrived it was well packed & marked fragile. The first thing I noticed when I opened the box was a pervading smell of cellulose paint. Got the packaging off to find I’d been sent a completely…

Quality bit of kit, everything works as it should, unit is virtually silent and blindingly fast compared to my previous computer on win7.

Dazed but not confused –
I’m no computer buff so this review is in ‘proper language’! My old desk top ‘died’ and although I do have an excellent lap top (new Asus) I do need a desk top as well. After much searching and time wasting I came across this baby on Amazon. It’s refurbished and I wouldn’t normally buy as such but the price, considering the specification, was a ‘steal’.
It’s up and running now and is very much ‘ok’. Really quiet (is that because it’s got SSD ?) and very quick.Just to be clear, when it comes, it comes with no instructions whatsoever so you need a little bit of know how to set it up. Easy peasy. So far it does all I have asked of it. Well worth the minimal investment.

I was pleased with the condition of the tower, the internals were clean and the SSD was an Adata 240GB unit. Not the most expensive SSD on the market, but still not the worst. The CPU was unfortunately of a lower spec than advertised, and the machine arrived with an i5-4570 rather than the i5-4590 promised. The difference however between the two is only a small matter of 100MHz baseclock, so it wasn’t the end of the world.

I just wanted a basic PC that I could use for simple tasks. However when I received the PC, initially one of the DisplayPorts was not working, but this did seem to fix itself after a week (I can’t be sure why). Nevertheless, it’s also disappointing that the packaged wi-fi dongle only works with 2.4 Ghz wi-fi band and not the faster 5 Ghz. Furthermore the CD drive doesn’t open and the manual release doesn’t work either.
In fairness, it does seem to operate well and is fast enough for the simple tasks I use it for (internet browsing and email).
Overall, good price but faulty product and you can’t call IT Buffs so everything is over email and therefore it takes forever to discuss just one issue.

A decent system for the price. I have connected it to two monitors and it seems be fine for doing work. The case is nice and small ane fairly light. The SSD Drive makes it nice and quick to boot up, and very responsive. The negatives for me are:
– Advertised as 8GB Ram, but when checking My Computer on Windows it seems to think its only 6GB Ram.
– Internet via Wireless was VERY slow, until I moved the Wireless dongle to another USB port, then it worked fine. Not sure if there is an issue with the original USB port it was in.
– No HDMI ports. I had to buy adaptors, in order to attach monitors to the display ports.

I’ve always been as honest and insightful with all of my reviews so here goes, the computer arrived VERY quickly and VERY well packaged, it was in SUPERB condition upon unboxing. It doesn’t stop there… VERY easy set up, FAST as lightning, MASSIVE 8gb ram and SSD coupled with the Intel i5 processor makes this machine unstoppable, i added a wireless keyboard and external speakers which both use usb ports at the back (of which there are many) which frees up the x4ports atcthe front for usb transfer etc, there is also a 3.5mm speaker output at the back along with a 3.5mm headphone inputcon the front which i have just tried out and rate the sound as PHENOMENAL. I CANNOT find any fault with this machine? It has Windows 10 pro installed, fast SSD, quiet and very very quick. The SSD is 240g which is plenty for browsing, anything else you can add an external? Just plug it into one of the Many usb 2.0 usb 3.0 ports. I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone looking for something that will getcthe…
