Very good value, quick and quiet, microdream answered my questions quickly so impressed all round. I bought the 8gb i5 with 250gbHDD as I wanted a bit more cpu than my current 4gb i3 machine. I have 2x SSDs in my PC which is why I bought the 250gbHDD one as I intended replacing with the SSDs, I will use the microdream supplied HDD in my old machine as it looks and sounds new, a WD Blue HDD, better than expected quality. I guess refurbishing a PC involves checking for faults, ensuring fans not noisy, replace HDD as a mechanical part so would be worn, also optical drive if not ok. These days optical drives not used much in business so HDD is the only part at risk of wear ?
If you don’t want to mess about changing to an SSD then I would suggest buying one from microdream with one already fitted. They say to ask if you want a larger SSD, 160 or 240gb is a good size.
This has USB3 ports front and rear so if you need HDD type storage just buy something like a ‘my passport’ usb3 external…

The description for this product stated “works and looks like new”. The outside has a number of scratches which is difficult to justify on a desktop machine; was it kicked around? Once switched on I struggled with Ethernet connection which, after a few attempts, I noticed was disabled at BIOS level (why????). Trying using the enclosed usb WiFi dongle was no better luck because it could not authenticate with my office WiFi (tried several times, password was correct, no luck) or my phone in Tethering mode. I ended up completing the installation of Windows 10 connecting my phone in USB Tethering mode. Then found out, running a hardware diagnostic, that the Ethernet adaptor driver was also not installed, once more: WHY??? . Luckily I understand enough IT to run the necessary procedures to install and correct the various problems, update the operating system and make it a workable machine. If you need a PC as soon as possible then try and avoid this seller. PC arrived fairly quickly, however it didn’t perform as expected. First thing I found was the disk drive was stuck and wouldn’t even open, even though it says “Renewed products work and look like new”. The computer takes about 4 minutes to load and then freezes for a few more minutes until it’s ready to use. Not a PC expert but the OS was installed about 5 years ago, which explains why it was so slow. In a few words – FALSE ADVERTISING. I just purchased a brand new PC now after I’ve wasted 4 days and this will be returned first thing in the morning.

Bought this PC for our granddaughter to do Internet searches and homework, not a s a gaming machine.. The machine delivered was actually the desktop variant not the small form factor advertised but is only slightly bigger and provides additional expansion slots. It also came with additional SD card and other portable media reader ports.
Things to Note:
Good build quality as expected and in good condition
Immediately useable BUT needed several large Windows Updates to bring security protection and operating system up to latest version which took 3 – 4 hours to complete over high-speed broadband and resulted in some updates reporting errors because they had already been superseded by later updates. This might confuse Windows beginners but just keep running the Update function until it states the machine is up to date.
Comes with multiple USB ports for connecting peripherals, including some USB 3.0 standard.
