Having looked around for a while I purchased this monitor to replace a 10year old 24″ that had eventually gone to monitor heaven. I thought it wouldn’t be a bad monitor, but equally I thought it wouldn’t be that great. How wrong I was, this is a very good monitor, and, if I’m honest, better than expected at this price point, and as a bonus it also has a 3 year warranty!. The only disappointment is that there is no rise and fall facility on the stand, but for a 27″ monitor for less than ยฃ120 I can live with that!.
Despite having a 3″ bigger screen it is physically no bigger than my old 24″, the surround is pleasingly thin, and the anti glare screen does exactly as it should, without making colours looking dull and muted.
Unfortunately when I received the monitor it had some dead pixels which formed an annoying line on the screen, however a call to Amazon quickly had a new replacement on it’s way. Great service from Amazon, and all-in-all a great monitor from Dell.

Years ago I had a Dell IPS monitor and it was great. After it died, it’s replacement was a TA monitor and I’ve wanted an IPS ever since. The colours on this IPS (especially red) are considerably better than my TA monitor.

I don’t do professional work and use my monitors primarily for gaming and can say this is perfectly fine. 2 HDMI ports is a great feature as I can switch between my PC and work laptop easily.

Of course there are better monitors on the market, however for a 75hz 1080 monitor, I doubt you will find a better one for the same price.

Whilst in lock down my kids started to get into gaming, such as roblox and minecraft and they also needed pc’s in order to take part in online classes.

I needed to get a couple of monitors for them, not top spec, but decent enough that they could still play their games with decent colours and frame rate with built in sound, so they didn’t need additional speakers taking up space on their desks.

I bought one of these to try out, and see what it was like.

    Reasons to buy:

โ€ข Dead easy to put together and it was up and running in 5 minutes.
โ€ข Comes with an HDMI cable (luckily as I didnโ€™t have a spare at the time)
โ€ข I really love the matte screen, so even when lights are on in the room or light is coming in through the window, there is no glare or reflection of the person using the monitor
โ€ข Sound is decent (bear in mind they are playing fairly basic games)
โ€ข Buttons are tucked away at the bottom right hand corner, but still accessible for volume, power and brightness etc. for kids to able to…

Monitoring itself is great. Looks very smart and clean, great colours and FHD – however if you’re using this with a PC, ensure that your motherboard or GPU/drivers will support HDMI audio with a HDMI cable. I’ve had this issue for a few days only to realise it doesn’t look like I’ll be able to get the speakers working for me.

As a software developer I wanted a 32″ 4K monitor that would be good in dark rooms, so this monitor ticked many boxes.
You can find many reviews around about its pros and cons so I’ll just keep it brief (hindsight: I didn’t)

    1) Out of the box, with the “Standard” settings, the colors are terrible. Fiddling with the settings a bit improved the situation (namely, increase contrast, brightness, and change the color settings to “color space”.

    2) High pitch speaker noise is not too loud, but it’s there, however! It disappears if you either set the volume to 0 (on the monitors’ settings), or if you are playing any sound (that is, you could have a 24/7 audio file playing with no sound just to keep the audio peripheral busy, and the high pitch noise should disappear). If you are used to listening to music while working this won’t be an issue at all.
I like how the speakers sound (not exceptional, but still richer than laptop speakers) so it would be shame to disable sound completely.

    3)…
