Amazon Customer –
Normally I like Draytek devices, but I returned due to constant reboots. Looks like I bought a bad one. I found the sync speed was lower than other modems too.

Recently purchased to replace 10 year old Vigor 2820. Yes a little expensive but very powerful and flexible. Firewall and VPN can be configured to suit needs and great support on DrayTek website as it can get quite confusing with various settings. Maybe this model is overkill for standard home use but if your working from home, run a small business this a great out of the box solution for setting up WAN and remote access.
I connected directly to BT infinity and performance better than BT Home hub with no issues, and this model is future proof with support for full fibre connections.
In my experience DrayTek routers are very stable and once setup and running you can forget about it. The key plus is that they just work!

Been having problems with my ISP – i basically been asking for a new router /modem now for 3 years to which any excuse comes out in what they not going to send one out – wouldnt mind but mine branded as PO which was the company they took over – so it doesnt even have their brand on it – anyways – i work a lot from home working in IT and thought it would be nice to have VPN at home and few VLANS – i thought it would take most of my weekend up – took a very short time – even added some firewall rules.
In short my happy

I’ve had vigor firewalls for many years. this new one does more stuff.
It does take longer to reboot, and seems more susceptible to power problems causing unreliability, but they do the work I need and do it well.
