This is an excellent printer for home use. The space taken up is smaller than my previous printer but like all single sheet scanners/copiers space is need above the printer to lift up the lid (total height with lid raised 42cm / 16.25in.). Both blacks and colours are good. Relatively easy to set up following the instructions but the network connection only supports 2.4 GHz. My default system is 5GHz but it connected OK (maybe my router automatically switches – I don’t know). There is another Epsom Wi-Fi connection method, so it may be using that. I have Apple devices as well as a PC running Windows 10. All of them find and print without any problems.
So far very pleased with the printer – only time will tell how long the inks last. As all printer manufacturers the OEM inks are very expensive.

Still pleased in general with the printer, but the preview window of a document eg Microsoft Word is rubbish for text but is good for photos. See attachment of a Word Document…

My printer arrived promptly. When I tried to set it up it would not handle paper properly and the print heads were all deficient, with broken lines. It was clearly severly faulty. I called the help line, and the person I spoke to took me through a few actions, and soon realised that the printer was faulty. He immediatley agreed to send me a replacement. This took a couple of weeks, but when the new one arrived it was easy to set up, and worked perfectly. It handles paper well (I have not had any paper jam) and prints with excellent quality.
I like to print my holiday and other photos, and mostly I want them ‘postcard’ size. Buying paper of this size is very expensive, so I buy A4 photo paper and cut it into four, giving the size A6. I like borderless photos, and have been printing them successfully for many years using an HP printer. But my HP printer has been developing a frustrating fault; it will not handle the A6 paper, rejecting it 9 times out of 10 and giving the message…

BEST PRINTER AS IT ALLOWS NOT ONLY WIFI BUT ALSO USB CONNECTION AND I AM PLEASE THAT I GOT THIS PRINTER AS IT WILL WORK WITH ANY COMPUTER AND STAND ALONE PRINTER, IN MY CASE I TRIED THE AUTO WIFI SET UP WHICH TOLD ME THAT THE WIFI SIGNAL FROM MY MODEM WAS A WEAK SIGNAL SO TRY USB SET UP, WHICH WORKED 100 PERCENT AND WORKS WITH ALL PRINTERS NO MATTER WHAT, THE ONLY DRAW BACK IS THE LENGTH OF THE USB LEAD YOU OBTAIN. BUT WORKS PERFECT AND GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY.

After ten days of continually reporting the problems with this printer’s inability to print DVDs to Epson and having to jump through every possible hoop imaginable (yes the problem was always made out to be my fault) wrong apps, wrong inks, wrong drivers, wrong utilities, wrong print procedures and wrong of me to suggest the printer was faulty. I have wasted loads of extortionately expensive original inks and blank DVDs trying to get a faulty machine to print. I have uninstalled and reinstalled every app, driver and performed every possible combination of this over and over during the ensuing ten day period. Today, I finally have had enough of Epson (lack of) support and given up on this dreadful printer. Buyers beware, if your get one that doesn’t work you will be strung along with every conceivable excuse known to man and still be no closer to having a working machine. Do I recommend this printer? NO I DO NOT. Do I recommend Epson for their support? NO I DO NOT. Will I be buying…

I bought this printer to replace my previous HP printer which had been an absolute disaster of unreliability and connectivity problems.
Well this is completely the opposite. Setup was incredibly simple, adding it to WiFi very easy, both Macs and PCs happily found and installed the drivers for it straight away, and the print quality has been excellent. I have some very slight concerns that there are moving parts that just don’t need to move (the output tray extends itself out when it’s about to print – it makes the device more compact when it’s not printing, but the plasticky gears seem like a good failure point to me, and it’s really unnecessary) and you would want to be careful if children are using it.
The reason I’ve not given a five star review is because Epson, like all the printer companies, provide just a pathetic amount of ink in the “setup” pack. I know it lets them keep the cost of the printer low, which makes them seem like a more attractive purchase, but buying a printer…
