I got gifted this from a good friend and my lord this is one great storage. Heat sink to dissipate heat (not really needed if not doing very tasking work) lightning speeds though maxed out on the 3rd gen ports because of the motherboard but will be future proof when upgrading to a newer model of my mobo.
Iโd highly recommend this lightning storage!

I cannot comment as I could not get this to work in the ps5 . I have returned it to Amazon for refund. And have since purchased an alternative. It was good spec and the persuaded me to buy this drive. Disappointed to say the least.

The SSD comes packaged in a small box and is relatively easy to install into your PS5 system. The read speed I was getting on my 1TB version was around 6533 MB/S which is more than enough speed for the PS5 to utilise. You also get the full 1TB to use which is convenient.

Bought for my ps5 after seeing the previous reviews. Installed on my ps5 and it didnโt detect the drive, Doesnโt detect to format the drive. Assume I was sent a faulty one. returned for a refund.

I got accepted into the PS5 system software beta (currently v3.1 at time of writing) which enables the internal expansion slot. I read the Sony requirements and this one was more than the recommended read speed and it includes a good sized heatsink, not the crappy kind that are held on with silicon bands.
After a bit of a double check on YouTube this is one of the top 5 recommended drives for PS5, it wasn’t the number 1, but I went with this one because of the heat sink and the price at the time ยฃ171.
Must admit I was a little nervous taking the panel off my PS5, but I followed a YouTube video and it was all done and dusted in 5 minutes, the cover over the expansion slot went back on perfectly even with the heatsink. Plugged it all back in, PS5 immediately on boot detected it and asked me if I wanted to format it warning all contents would be lost with option to cancel. Formatting took about 5 seconds. And a read test said it was able to get something like 6500MB/s out of it. Whilst…

What can i say about this great priced ssd.
Its super fast, faster than the ps5 own internal ssd.
Works perfect and is pretty much plug and play. Great price compared to the other brands with the heatsink. Would 100% reccomened.
