I have had this printer for 24 hours. Have not yet printed anything because the instructions are worse than useless. I expect a certain amount of intuition is required for most modern devices but this is still beyond me. Avoid it.

Great printer, easy to set up but unfortunately came with a faulty black cartridge. Can’t find anyone to email about getting a replacement

The easiest printer I have ever setup. Very simple using the app on my phone, following the illustrated steps all the way through to a test print and scan. Then I went to set it up on my Chromebook and because that is linked to my phone it was already to use.
Print quality is good enough from a printer in this price range. Printing is very quiet too. Speed wise it’s OK, not ultra fast but for home printing it’s fine.

Constant error messages after setting up . Lots of coloured flashing lights and code numbers and extremely hard to work out what they mean and how to fix .
Falls Over Lots –
Very easy to setup. Great printer for home usage. We very rarely need to print stuff and this wasnโt a bad price for the ease of use and quality.

no instructions, apart from getting rid of packaging. have to go on line to install, followed all the instructions, on line, then would not connect, so could not use. in frustration went to Curry’s, bought a Cannon printer, full instruction included with that, all set up and printing in the hour. oh and for the Envy support is crap.
RAR –
I consider myself to be very IT literate so after unpacking it and just having to download the HP Smart app absolutely nothing would work to allow me to connect via my phone. I did the classic trick of turn off, turn on etc and consistently got error messages. In the end I phoned HP and was on the phone for exactly an hour. I had to set up via my Mac in the end but the process was very slow with it still failing to recognise the printer, wifi etc. After speak to a very patient HP advisor it is now set up! I have no doubt others have found it extremely easy as it should be but sadly I had two hours of ‘errors’. I pray that the printer now stays connected. Printing quality is very good.

I am not very technically minded and was a bit scared of setting this up as I could not get help this week but really needed the printer , whatever printer I looked at a few said they had problems setting up , but I just took my time followed each instruction as it came up , and hey presto all working , just make sure your Bluetooth is on , was my only hiccup as I had to come out the app to go back in and re do a couple of steps but then all was well , they really have made it so simple
