Love this item. Easy to set up on your wifi and devices. Quality feel. Easy to use and fast printing with great colours. Bigger in size than I would of hoped (my old canon ip90 was half the size) but as this one copies and scans as well as prints and the battery is included in the box so you dont have to get it separately, I can forgive it it’s size. Its still very portable and versitile. Well worth investing in a case to keep it safe.

I bought this printer as a backup after my main printer developed a problem, with it in mind that I can also use it when away from home to scan, print etc. without relying on hotel facilities and WiFi.
The printer was easy to set up and whilst I am often cautious about the invasive nature of HP software, the printer installed easily and the HP Smart app works well and actually found an older HP printer which is on my network.
The printer is light and easy to carry and produces a good quality print and also pleasingly a good quality scan for a reasonable file size. You can adjust the outputs of both print and scan to suit your requirements.
Only two minor negatives:
1) The software is a little glitchy if you select 2-sided printing – my experience is the printer driver loses the 2 sided dialogue after the first pass, so you have to start again and print the missing even or odd pages to populate the blank sides – not as hard as it sounds and I in fact mostly use the traditional route of…

The printer is easy to configure using the on device wizard.
I have not owned the printer long enough to give an in-depth review. But the first thing the strikes me is, that is not as compact as I was hoping. I can just about fit it into my work rucksack with my laptop. Also the gloss back plastic surface on top of the printer is susceptible to swirls and scratches. I would recommend cleaning it with a soft lint free microfibre cloth.
The paper tray is not secured in the closed position when transporting, which means that you may want to get a dedicate case for the printer, to protect it in transit.
I purchased a cased for the printer in the end (generic, not HP). Overall I like the printer, even though it is not photo quality. The quality is fine for documents and PowerPoint slides. I would recommend purchasing a spare battery as the battery self discharged in the printer. If you are not using it regularly, you will find the battery in the printer…

Firstly I was surprised to see how lightweight and compact this printer was. It’s pretty easy to setup and print with my laptop and smart devices through WiFi, Bluetooth and USB. I can also turn off the noise so the printer prints very quietly at night. Overall, I’m happy with it but the colour cartridge running out pretty quickly after 2 pages of printing (only words, no pictures). Also, the HP software to install is pretty useless not to recognise the printer most of the time. My devices can so I just print straight from Word/Excel/PDF, etc. If these small flaws can be fixed, it’s a true 5 stars product.

Great printer, very compact and does the job well. Very easy to setup, quick software install and can very easily update the firmware via apps or on the printer itself if connected to internet.
Pretty quick at printing A4 sheets in B&W, little slower at printing colour but itโs fast enough. Printer comes with a rechargeable battery so can be moved around as required. It is classed as a portable printer which it is but suggest only if you have transport wouldnโt want to carry it around. I got a carry case for it which is great for storing it out of the way.

Update….ok I wrote the review hastily, you can print without internet connection not through Bluetooth but using the direct print function….5 stars !!So I wanted a portable printer and this is that and a whole lot more, unfortunately portable for me means I donโt need to be connected to the internet to be able to use, first thing I did was try to set up Bluetooth printing to use with my iPhone, I found some instructions online and the first thing it states is that Bluetooth does not work with Apple products ๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธ, I did a bit of research before hand and some had stated that it would work fine so I took a gamble and lost, sent it back the following day as not fit for purpose
