I have been using this printer for three weeks now and I can say that it works really well. I had an Envy for years and I upgraded to an Officejet because my household’s volume of printing has increased.
The printer was easy to install, instructions were clear, and the printer connected with WI-Fi and my PC straight away. The quality of printing is very good. The only downside is the feeding paper draw is a bit difficult to close: when you don’t change the paper for a while you can forget how to close it and spend a while working it out again.

Unpacked and set up in 15 minutes. Instructions nice and clear, the screen is very clear. Setup the account online to activate the instant ink subscription. Good choice of subscriptions based on how much you are going to print each month, but currently free for first 6 months. Now down to using the printer, print quality very good. Downloaded the full software from hp.com. Easy to set up on pc. Easy to choose/change paper size. The scanning software is excellent. You can scan double-sided, albeit by manually turning the paper once scanned one side (this is the case with most printers). The new thing about this software though is that you can set it to delete blank pages, once scanning finished, very good setting. You can also set it so it saves to the same folder on your pc everytime. Overall, excellent printer. The usual high spec from HP. 😍

I’ve never had a HP printer before but have used other HP products and always found them to work really well so I had high hopes for this OfficeJet Pro printer. And I’ve not been disappointed yet. It was extremely easy to set up, considering it’s more high tech than just ‘plug in a USB and go’ type. The only problem I had with setting it up was getting the plastic covers off the ink cartridges, but that’s more to do with my disability than the actual product. It’s a bit bigger than I expected it to be which means it won’t fit in the space where the old printer was.
I’ve used my laptop and my phone to print and scan items, and it’s worked smoothly and perfectly each time. And the double-sided printing feature works so much better than my old printer which meant I had to figure out how to re-insert the paper the right way; this does all that for you! The scanner is quick and the fact I can easily get documents onto my phone will save me so much time when I need to send something…

My old HP printer was well overdue an upgrade and this one seemed ideal. The HP+ subscription helped seal the deal, as never running out of ink and extended warranty is a bonus. It was slightly larger than I expected when I turned up, but that’s because I was used to a compact all in one. Whereas this is more for the home office situation. The setup was easy, but did take a short while, as setting up the HP+ part needed a lot of extra information. But now that it’s setup it will be easy when this one gets replaced next. The Smart Print feature is great, and makes it easy to print from anywhere from any device. The ink top up pack came through the post quite quick too. The speed of print is much faster than my old one, so that gets a massive thumbs up too! Overall, I’m really happy with this printer and would certainly class it as a great home office printer, rather than occasional personal printer

…will any HP printers be in the future. For those of concerned about the security risks inherent in the IoT, this is a major red flag.
Yesterday, I set up my new HP Pro Jet 8020e as per instructions.
There were no printer drivers included in the box, nor was the printer listed in Windows 10 printer database. Eventually the printer came alive. To get the drivers, the screen instructed me to go to a link, which sent me to a Microsoft Store log-in/registration page. To get the drivers, you must have a Microsoft Store account, which, for security reasons, I do not and will not have.
No problem. I’ll get the drivers from the HP website. Nope, the website sent me back to the same link to the Microsoft Store. I am not certain, but to require an end user to obtain drivers from a third-party such as Microsoft might well be a violation of the GDPR.
I’ll call HP and ask them to email me the drivers. (I had a similar issue with a Brother printer I ordered from Amazon a few months ago. I had…
