ย I think this is probably isolation speaking, but I have never been so impressed and excited to have a new computer mouse. It comes in lovely cardboard packaging which is easy to open – so you don’t have to fight some tough plastic with scissors that ends up slicing you as you try and break into the packaging.
The mouse itself looks really sleek. It feels extremely comfortable and ergonomic, fitting perfectly in my hand. I think it being more flat/level than what you imagine of a generic mouse is why it is so comfortable to use – you aren’t having to arch your hand at all, it just rests on top. There was no delay in connecting the mouse to your computer, after having inserted the receiver and pressing the connect button on the bottom of the mouse, it was ready to use instantaneously.
I was a little confused at first as to how to open the mouse to insert the battery (that’s another thing – it comes with a battery provided!…

I unpacked it and then tried to pair it with my laptop, it didn’t work, so then I read the instructions and to my great surprise I discovered that it isn’t actually a Bluetooth device. I am really surprised. I am not any kind of expert on these matters but I just assumed that it would be; I searched for Bluetooth mouse on Amazon and this was on the list. Nowhere in the description does it make it clear that it isn’t Bluetooth. So if you buy this you will have to use up one of your USB ports to plug in the receiver, even the photos don’t show the receiver.

Oh my, where to start. Bought this as a replacement mouse for my Mac after much research. First off, there are no HP specific drivers for modern Macs so you can’t set stuff like the middle scroll wheel button to do anything other than scroll. Pointer speed was ludicrously fast and horribly inaccurate (despite the blurb) though toning it down a bit in mouse settings did help a tiny bit. It’s wireless, not bluetooth (obviously – the price would tell you that if nothing else) and comes with a USB receiver to plug into your machine (handily this can at least be stowed inside the mouse body if you’re toting it around with a laptop and don’t want to lose it). BUT the case of the mouse itself is horrible, thin plastic and feels utterly cheap (well it is!)
Can’t comment on battery life – which was the main ‘draw’ for me buying this (16 months from one AAA seems like a very long time so there’s that if you’re looking for a plus). VERY small (great for kids, not so great for someone with…

Easily the most uncomfortable mouse I have ever used.
Also it comes in one of those packages that there’s no way to open without breaking it, so you can’t return it after trying it if you don’t like it.
I’ll keep it for my laptop, since it’s so flat it will fit nicely in the backpack, though I don’t think it’s safe to use this for more than one hour. I’ve been using it for two hours and I’m already experiencing pain in my palm, something that does not happen with my other mouse from a totally unknown brand half the price of this one. I would have expected more from HP.

Really annoying. A lovely mouse to use, but I’ve had two now and both of them failed with the same fault after a couple months of use. After a while they start to freeze, not responding to movement or button clicks. Turning the mouse on and off fixes it for a few minutes, but it soon comes back Tried a new battery, makes no difference. Tried the USB transmitter in a different port, makes no difference. When it happened with the first mouse I thought it was just bad luck, but when it happened to the second mouse you have to assume it’s a fault with the product.

So I have had this product for roughly 4 hours now and it’s already driving me insane. I have seen another review which hit on this slightly and that is that the scrolling is chunky and jerky. By that I mean, when the wheel turns, it turns in increments like most other scroll wheels, however, half of the time it doesn’t register, so when you’re trying to scroll down a page (or in my case to zoom in and out while designing in illustrator and photoshop) it will only register about 70% of the spin of the wheel. To put it simply, the scrolling is very inconsistent instead of it being a smooth flow.
It may seem like a fairly petty complaint since it’s quite a cheap mouse, but it’s 2019 and scrolling is a very, very basic feature. There is no excuse for any mouse, especially a HP mouse to not be able to scroll properly. I think I will be sending this back and getting a refund. I’ve basically bought a faulty product.
The only good thing about this mouse is that the all white one which I got…
