It’s a great screen, the 144, 120 and 100Hz modes are good.
Colour reproduction is great – it’s an IPS panel.
Black light bleed is as much as can be expected at this price range, not a deal breaker and there are a few options to mitigate it a little.
The bad points:
1) HDR can’t be used at the same time as freesync (it’s basically HDR400 so it’s a gimmick anyway)
2) The standby mode doesn’t work. When I resume my PC or plug the Macbook in via displayport the monitor turns on but then displays ‘no signal’ and turns off again. In the case of the Macbook it does this several times in a loop.
You have to press the power button and turn it off and on again for the signal to magically appear.
*update*
The situation after a week is pretty much unbearable. When resuming from standby, I have to turn the monitor off and on. With the Macbook it gets stuck in a loop. At least once per day the monitor can’t be turned on and sits in standby with the orange light on until I pull the plug.

A good monitor at a sensational price. The only drawback I noticed was the flickering right half of the matrix during changing resolutions in some games. This can be quickly overcome by changing the resolution again or by turning the monitor off and on. You cannot use all the available functions at the same time. Turning on one automatically turns off the other and changes the settings. Colors, contrast for a medal.

Out of the box I found the colours pretty awful and it took me a few days to get it to where I wanted with the grey especially appearing very green. I calibrated mine with the following settings:
PICTURE
Brightness – 90
Contrast – 40
Black Tuner – 0
All settings off
COLOUR
Red – 97
Green – 99
Blue – 96
With these done, the screen performs very well and is good value for money for the size and specification for both productivity and gaming.

I’ve been using this monitor for almost 6 months now. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed using it and can’t recommend it highly enough. It has exceeded my expectations. At ยฃ400, the price is right and you get all the features seen in similarly-specced flagship ultrawides from Asus and Acer that cost more than twice as much. The iiyama monitor offers the same refresh rate, same response time, same resolution and screen size, and the same display technology, making it my top recommendation for a gaming IPS ultrawide. It ticks almost all the boxes.
I’ve come across concerns with regards to the monitor’s input latency as well as some quality control and firmware-related issues in earlier samples. I haven’t experienced any of these issues myself. In terms of its input latency, I can’t say I’ve noticed any sort of lag at all. I’m not a competitive gamer nor do I have any experience with any other gaming monitors, but I do play fast-paced action and FPS games at high frame rates and haven’t noticed…

This really is a lovely monitor. I can’t speak to the more advanced features aimed at gaming but for music production purposes it’s *perfect*. The ultra-wide panel gives my preferred DAW and editing software plenty of space to breathe, dramatically reducing the need for scrolling, zooming and resizing when performing detailed edits or mix adjustments. Less strain on the eyes AND less mouse work = a big win for me. The build quality is reassuringly high, the robust stand allows for easy adjustment to just about any angle, set up is a breeze and most importantly the screen itself is easy on the eye, with an almost paper-like matte finish allowing for many more glare-free screen hours of productivity before the dreaded fatigue sets in. Perfect.
