I’ve used this with my MacBook and it’s been excellent. I didn’t need to format the drive – on plugging in my Mac recognised the drive instantly. Moving files is extremely quick. I use it primarily for backing up large media files and it works well.
The unit itself is very small and so easy to transp[ort if needed, At a pretty good price I think this is a good external SSD solution – recommended!

I was impressed by the build quality of the item when it arrived – the outer casing didn’t feel like plastic or cheap metal, it feels reasonably solid. It connects excellently with or without the USB-C adaptor. Storage capacity is as advertised and it is as portable as you could wish. Comes with a nice fabric bag to store it in.
My only complaint is that the bag doesn’t close well while the device is plugged in inside it (with the cable coming through the opening), meaning it may fall off the drive.

Ive been really impressed by this little SSD drive by kexin, i was surprised by how small it was when it arrived, for some reason i was expecting it to be quite a bit larger.
I use it for backing up important files from my laptop weekly, for this it has been ideal.
The speed of data transfer is really quick.
It comes with a small bag for storage which is a nice addition, i dont tend to use this though as i just leave it plugged into my usb hub ready for use when i do my weekly backup.

So far this has been a good drive for me, I’ve been using it to store a backup of our images and had zero issues or problems, build quality seems fine and I much prefer this USB C drive over my old USB A drive as USB C just is properly the first time, it’s small enough to just pop in my pocket if needs be too which is handy for taking it with me, all in all, a respectable 4 stars from me, recommended to all.

This portable SSD is tiny, it’s much smaller than traditional portable HDD’s. It’s also very thin and the metal case looks great. You get two cable so you can use it with a standard USB port or a USB C port.
I ran a test on my laptop and achieved really good read/write speeds that exceeded the specs provided. I currently have it connected to my tv for recording of programmes and for pausing of live TV and it’s working great so far. Because it’s so small, it’s easy to hide behind the TV so it’s perfect for that.
The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because it seems a little pricey compared to similar SSD’s.

Summary
Not expensive for 120G of portable storage – nice looking product with a very small footprint
Performance
I transferred a 1.6G file from my laptop SSD through a USB3 interface and it held a transfer rate of approx 37Mb/s, taking 42 seconds for the whole file.
Value for money
for £15 more you can get twice the capacity, if buying a one off.

If you want 120gb of fast storage on a usb then this works just fine. I plugged it in, transferred some stuff onto it, all good.
I tested the speed and it’s ok, but I can’t reach anything particularly quick as my own setup / usb is never that fast, old pc problems.
It’s nice and small and thin, but I think the 256+ sizes are most worth having as you can get sd cards and usb sticks at this size so it’s relatively large in comparison.
