I did a lot of searching about on Amazon for the most inexpensive but reliable micro SD cards, with at least 64GB of space, for a number of ‘ultra’ HD security cameras. I needed cards that could be withstand high bandwidth, offer fast access, and not put another hole in my pocket (five cameras to provision for). I think I found the best value with these pack of 3 Kingston’s. They’ve been performing marvelously, allow reviewing footage while the camera writes new data (and in the case of one camera data is writing almost 95% of the day and night). I’ve just switched one camera to record constantly and will check in a couple of days how this goes.
Yes, I bought two packs for six cards in total for five cameras. The sixth card? Bunged it into my Samsung S10, and no complaints.
The only negative with this order was lack of initial communication and no dispatch after two days. Cleared it up in time but could have done without that worry.

I wanted a larger capacity card for my ePhoto frame as the frame I chose can take both video and photo and I wanted a tribute to my late wife.
I ordered two cards and they arrived much sooner than the proposed date (which was a bonus) and, which is the most important part, worked on the data transfer AND the ePhoto frame.
So very pleased with these as I have had some problems with my older SD cards, but these are perfect.
Highly recommended

Ideal for dashcams, will give approx 2 hours worth of recording depending on picture quality. So if you are driving for any length of time, this will give you peace of mind that any incidents will be caught on camera. If you travel greater distances, simply double up on the storage and get twice the journey time.
The micro SD can also be used in various mobile devices including some smartphones, and being class 10 it is quite fast.
Well recommended for the price, and a reliable brand that wonโt let you down when needed.

Very impressed. This was bought for a little add-on for my 91 year old grandad when I got him a digital camera. I put the card in and it worked straight away, no issues. Bought a reasonably small memory, as he is 91 and is not taking a lot of pictures. The card does store a lot more photos than I expected though, so heโs never going to run out! Very easy to use, but I expect my grandad will need a little help to transfer his photos to his computer! That is nothing to do with the memory card, he just struggles to remember new things if he hasnโt done a task before. He was still absolutely delighted with it, as he can now take pictures of the beach where he lives. Thank you.

The “Canvas Select Plus” is, as the name might suggest, a little higher up the range than the “Canvas Select”, part of Kingston’s current range revamped and targeted largely at the general use and Android market. At the time of writing the 32GB card is selling here on Amazon for ยฃ3.65 which is very competitive considering the opposition, even undercutting some of the lesser brands. For that you get a lifetime warranty (which unusually does not seem to exclude use in dashcams or a Raspberry Pi) and a little more performance compared to its predecessor. It is worth mentioning that as is often the case, the higher capacity cards perform better to the point that Kingston’s own website does not mention the write speed on cards below 256GB. On the 32GB cards I am seeing read speeds in the range of 95MB/s and write speeds of 26MB/s (the previous “Canvas Select” 64GB card I have returns 94MB/s read and 20MB/s write). This goes up to 96MB/s read and 86MB/s write on the Canvas Select Plus…

Had to return this due to it being a fake. Lost files trying to save them to the card, they were being over written and corrupted due to the capacity being no more than 8gb not the 256gb advertised. Subsequently tested the card with SD Card Insight which examines the integrity of the card. Shown up to be an unbranded fake. Genuine cards show the manufacturers name. My advice is always check the card before trying to use it. There are thousands of fakes out there. Don’t get caught out like myself. I cannot recover the files lost no matter what I tried.

“Faster speeds: Class 10 UHS-I speeds up to 100 MB/sยฒ” According to the test I ran on it, it achieved 19.3 MByte/S both read and write (see photo). Also, I had an error message on my phone (Galaxy A7) that the phone could no longer communicate with the SD card

I tested it with H2testw and the card is genuine. At this price I’m happy. Kingston is a well-respected make but that means that fakes would use the name. MicroSD cards are amongst the most faked items. If you haven’t heard of H2testw then do an internet search for it. The programme is free, and will test cards and USB sticks. It can’t be fooled.
