Perfect for my WiFi in my caravan .

Not fully tested the device yet however setup was very easy indeed – installed my 3 SIM from my phone, powered the unit on and it just worked with zero involvement 🙂
I do question the IP65 rating however – the two antennas were supplied with rubber washers but just tightening the antennas to the unit resulted in the washer just expanding outwards and therefore offering no water protection at all. Whether the rest of the unit protects in rainy weather remains to be seen.
Not needed ‘Tech Support’ so not able to comment.

Was great to start with but after a year it has completely given up working

So I purchased this after lots of deliberation on what would meet my two problems needing a solution.
I wanted a sim deal router to take to our caravan and get wifi for the kids to use and for tv streaming. If I was signing up for a sim data deal then I wanted something to also get wifi for in the car for the kids while traveling down the 3 hours drive. So I was looking at two devices to buy.
I took the plunge and purchased this and also thought about buying a little wireless sim wifi router for the car. But I wasn’t sure if this would be good and/or that the sim deal would be good. So opted to buy this router first and see…
The router arrived as you can see in the box.
The two antennas on the side are fixed and the top wifi and 4G ones are screw in. The base has a removable stand, and a cover which you can plug the holes to make waterproof and run cables out the bottom. (Whilst it is waterproof to a degree I do think it could be better) I will probably add a little something in the…

Due to me working from home and thinking that my 1gig Virgin Media line would be fine… recent VM nationwide connection issues forced me to look for a solid backup solution.
Bought this and ordered a cheap SIM option from “Lebara” on the vodafone network. the KuWFI was easy to setup, although it was weird that it used a “micro” sized SIM slot. but pop the sim card in, power the unit with the supplied PSU through the POE Ethernet socket (or you can power it a couple of other ways too.. RTM).
It worked and connected 1st time without any complex effort, and when connecting to the routers IP address the options are easy to see and easy to configure, the unit can also receive SMS texts and has a section for entering a SIM’s PIN number if you need too. The router even warns you if you are about to change something that is gonna cut you off from the wifi in case you weren’t paying attention.. which other routers I have configured before didn’t.
Only minor issue is the 4G connection is a bit…

Faulty had to return. Easy enough instructions and management interface accessed via it’s IP address. I would not leave it outside for too long, the plastic doesn’t seem robust enough to cope with too much exposure to UK weather. Returned because three separate working SIM’s from other devices returned an error, the reader must be faulty. Two SIM’s had to be in a caddy to re-size my nano SIM’s to micro, but one was a micro SIM already. Doesn’t come with a re-sizing caddy.

It works out of the box.

I bought this to provide a WiFi connection to 2 CCTV cameras at my stable yard, so I wanted to power it from a 12v power supply and to connect to a 4G network where there is no fixed internet.
Very quick & easy to set up, insert the SIM card and it connects, no configuration.
Once set up, has not caused me any need to worry about it. It provides a handy stats page showing network usage for the current month, which is useful for a metered 4G connection.
