Bought this laptop to replace my ageing desktop, which had served me well over many years. I had used Lenovo in my workplace when I was working and always thought them to be good quality build. I also noticed that it was being sold by Mesh. A company who had built a desktop for me (years ago) and had been a pleasure to deal with. People often say you shouldnโt dwell in the past, and this was certainly the case for me. The disc drive started playing up and seemed to work when it felt like it. Being someone with a disability I rely on my dvds for entertainment, therefore it was important that the disc drive worked. As well as intermittent operation itโs cheap, plasticy and clunky. I reached out to Mesh by email and havenโt to date received a reply. It seems the good service provided by Mesh is a thing of the past. There is no excuse for not doing a quick reply to help a customer out of difficulty. I would avoid buying this laptop. It is cheap, but the quality of after sales service…

I was well impressed with this laptop. It was easy to set up and it is working beautifully. The bonus for me was that it had a CD-Rom as many other new laptops don’t have it that item any more.

Sadly the computer died during a Zoom call. Amazon straightway offered to replace it but as I had put all my data on it I decided to go to the supplier for a repair. Both Mesh and Lenovo were very pro active getting the repair done and it was returned to me fully working and without any loss of data within 5 days
Well done…I would buy another if I needed to

This was an emergency replacement for a five-year-old Toshiba Satellite that had gradually lost functions and then died while I was away. At present, before Windows 10 clogs everything up with its obligatory updates, it boots up quickly, and apart from a different placement of secondary keyboard buttons, that aspect is easy to use.
The real disappointment is the touchpad. The touch sensitive pad extends over the right and left buttons, so that click and drag is impossible, as all that happens is the magnification of the screen changes. Furthermore, the right button will not, by itself bring up a menu for such as opening a link in a new tab; one must simultaneously press left AND right buttons.
I seriously think I am going to have to use an external usb touchpad instead. The touchpad is a serious defect in its design.
One last negative: the casing is highly textured, not smooth, so is difficult to keep clean from finger marks

Takes too long to load up, battery life is terrible 2hrs if your lucky after a full charge. Good sound and screen, my only reason for buying this was it had an internal cd dvd. Not worth buying it for this, go for an external cd dvd drive. Had no problems returning item, Mesh a great company to deal with so I ordered an HP laptop from them.

Wanted 8gb ram and 1tb memory for speed and expected reasonable camera for the price, but disappointed with speed of the processing and quality of image. Even while using Word, the circle sometimes just turns. Turned off OneDrive (don’t use it anyway) but not helped much. Will stick with it for another week, but very tempted to return this and go back to my old HP (5 yrs old), which is no worse than this.
