Prior to this I had an HD TV from 2015 which I was still pretty impressed with. I have a large library of films and TV shows I’ve copied & encoded mainly with H254, more recently 255, and they looked absolutely fine. It took getting a TV as good as this to notice the artifacts in the compression. Also, this is the first TV where I can honestly claim to easily spot the difference between HD & 4K – although it does an impressive job trying to upscale HD. Watching SD is a strange experience but you do get used to it if the show in question is only available on SD. I correctly judged that 65” was the sweet spot for price vs size, and wanted the G over the C because of the 5 year screen Warrantee. In theory it’s susceptible to burn in but unless you intentionally set it up to display a continuous picture it has countless countermeasures that mean you never really need wory, and a myriad of sound and picture options that include AI enhanced options.
Don’t get me wrong, 65” is a big TV but…

Outstanding picture with excellent upscaling so old programs look great. The processor offers excellent performance with powerful WiFi and Bluetooth. Also very reasonable sound quality.
